Two
Women:
the Whore and Wisdom

Mark Rodgers

Call of Two Women:

the Whore and Wisdom

The book of proverbs was authored by Solomon so its content should be

dated in the tenth century

B.C.

However, the book was put into its final form

around the time of Hezekiah (C. 700 B.C.). (Proverbs 25:1) These are also
proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

This book is outlined according to the King James Version Bible. All scriptures
are written word for word from the KJV Bible and then explained with
personal everyday life experiences in order to give subtlety and illustrate a
way to apply scriptures to your life. As the letters spoken about in (2
Corinthians 10:11 KJV) are important and powerful. Let everyone who reads
this book believe that we are living the words that we write although we be
absent, and are preforming all deeds in the present. (2 Corinthians 10:11-12
KJV) Let such a one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when
we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present. (v. 12) For
we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some
that commend themselves: but the measuring themselves by themselves,
and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

This book will not boast of things done outside the area of the Bible without
the authority of God. We will boast only about what has happened within the
boundaries of the work God has given us. Neither do we boast and claim
credit for the work someone else has done. Instead, we pray that your faith
will grow so that the boundaries of our work within this book will be extended
to others. (2 Corinthians 10:15-18) Not boasting of things without our
measure, that is, of other mens labors; but having hope, when your faith is
increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
(v. 16) To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast
another mans line of things made ready to our hand. (v. 17) But HE THAT
GLORIETH, LET HIM GLORY IN THE LORD. (v. 18) For not he that commendeth
himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. Perhaps you think I
am saying these things just to defend myself. No, I tell you this as Christs
servant, and with God as our witness. Everything I write, my dear friends, I
write it to strengthen you.

Introduction

My desire for you in the preparation of this book is for you to be enriched by
God through everything written, in all that is explained, and in all the
knowledge of Christ. Seeking Godly wisdom, knowledge and
understanding should come first in your life. It is the most important thing.
The Bible should be the one source of information and instructions you follow
first. If a man were to gain the whole world, but lose his own soul, what
would it profit him? (Matthew 16:26 KJV) For what is a man profited, if he
shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give
in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36 KJV) For what shall it profit a man, if
he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

(1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the
gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of
none effect. Just as the apostle Paul laid his learning aside when he
preached the simple gospel of Christ. I am writing the truth without any false
dressing. Christs word alone carries with it the power of God unto salvation.
(Romans 1:16 KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the
power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek. (1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV) For the preaching of the cross is
to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power
of God. Two groups are singled out because of the effect the word of God

has on man in this verse by the apostle Paul in the preaching of the cross
and the atonement of Jesus death. Those who perish deem the word of the
Cross foolishness. But to the saved, the simple message of the Cross is the
power of God.

(v. 19) For it is written, I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND
WILL BRING TO NOTHING THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PRUDENT. God will
destroy human wisdom, and make the wisdom of this world foolishness and
the understanding of those who practice prudence will be brought to nothing.
(v. 20) Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this
world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (v. 21) For after
that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God
by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. It is not enough
just to talk the talk, or preach, just to preach, or to only seek the wisdom of
this world, but, one must live in righteousness before God, seeking after
Godly wisdom day and night.

(v. 22) For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: (v. 23)
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the
Greeks foolishness; (v. 24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (v. 25) Because the
foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger
than men. (v. 26) For ye see your calling brethren, how that not many wise

men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: (v. 27) But
God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and
God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which
are mighty; (v. 28) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought
things that are: (29) That no flesh should glory in his presence. Gods plan is
to silence the wisdom of man. He chooses the foolish to shame the wise. He
chooses week things to shame the deemed, by powers and institutions
erected and relied upon by man.

(v. 30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us
wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (v. 31) That,
according as it is written, He THAT GLORIETH, LET HIM GLORY IN THE LORD.
All the riches of salvation exist in Christ Jesus. All that the Christian believers
are, they owe to God. It is not in oneself, or in party alignment, or in
supposed human ability that any believer ought to glory. Wisdom is not
merely the acquisition of intellectual skills but the gaining of spiritual
discernment based on the wisdom of God as demonstrated in the Cross.

In Hebrew, proverb basically means comparison, so if you compare the

wisdom of man to the wisdom of God, and any book to the Book of the Bible,
you would be wise to choose the Bible every time. Wisdom is the key word
and basically means skill of living life successfully in Christ. Wisdom is the

right use or exercise of knowledge; to make the right choice of just, Godly
and wealthy ends, and of the best means to accomplish them. This is wisdom
in action, effect, or practice. If wisdom is to be considered as a faculty of the
mind, it is the faculty of discerning or judging what is most just, proper and
useful, and if it is to be considered as an acquirement, it is the knowledge
and use of what is best, most just, most proper, most conducive to prosperity
or happiness. It is to walk upright before the Lord.
(Proverbs 3:19-20 KJV) The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by
understanding hath he established the heavens. (v. 20) By his knowledge the
depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

(Proverbs 19:8 KJV) He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that

keepeth understanding shall find good. I urge you to start seeking

instruction from the word of God, so you might discipline your life, and I do
not mean to classroom instruction. By seeking for Godly wisdom, you will
understand how to utilize all of your potential. (Philippians 1:6-7 KJV) Being
confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (v. 7) Even as it is meet for me to
think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my
bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are
partakers of my grace.

Now that you are beginning to see the value of true wisdom, and the
importance in the knowledge of Christ you will gain through reading,
studying and meditating on the word of God, the capability to distinguish
between truth and falsehood, good and bad, and what matters most is your
life should become much clearer. It will be easier to get rid of what does not
matter at all. If you understand the words written for your learning and are
increasing in wisdom through the application of those scriptures, its because
wisdom is calling out to you and the work God started in you will continue
until completion.

Facts from the Word of God are great for two reasons. First, you can really
depend on a positive out-come. When you trust in God and believe in the
word, you will find favor with both God and man. (Proverbs 3:4-10 KJV) So
shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (v.
5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. (v. 6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy
paths. (v. 7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from
evil. (v. 8) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (v. 9)
Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine
increase: (v. 10) So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall
burst out with new wine.

Secondly, the more knowledge, wisdom and understanding you gain about
yourself and your situation, God will begin showing you how to use your gifts
and talents He created you with to help you achieve victory. You will
understand that you do not have to be great to start walking with God; but
you do have to start walking in the path of righteousness in order to become
powerful or great in the Lord.

If you are tiered of your personal situation, change it up! Try walking in the
wisdom of God. What do you have to lose?

By reading this book you will be arming yourself with knowledge. Make it a
personal goal to read this book at least twice and then read proverbs three
times. I guarantee you, if you follow the instructions written for your learning
in the Bible, wisdom, knowledge and understanding will begin to change your
personal situation, and your life forever. (Deuteronomy 4:1 KJV) Now
therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statues and unto the judgments, which I
teach you, for to do them, that ye may live and go in and possess the land
which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

The book of proverbs interpretation and purpose is clearly to show humanity

how to live life wisely, knowledgeable and skillful. You will learn that the
entire structure of the book is arranged to carry out this purpose. So read on
and be blessed!

CHAPTER 1
The Introduction of proverbs
1:1-7
Title

(Proverbs 1:1 KJV) The Proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel.
In this introduction, the short sentence was chosen to encapsulate the beliefs
or ideals that will be guiding your life.

Purpose

What is Gods purpose for you? (v. 2) To know wisdom and instruction; to
perceive the words of understanding; What is wisdom or better yet, who is
wisdom? Wisdom is the key word in the book of Proverbs and basically
means skill in living, to live life successfully. (Exodus 28:3 KJV) And thou
shalt speak unto all that are wisehearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of
wisdom, that they may make Araons garments to consecrate him, that he
may minister unto me in the priests office.

(Exodus 31:3-6 KJV) And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom,
and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
(v. 4) To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, (v.
5) And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in
all manner of workmanship, (v. 6) And I, behold, I have given with him
Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all
that are wisehearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have
commanded thee.

(Exodus 35:26 KJV) And all the women whose heart stirred them up in
wisdom spun goats hair.

(Exodus 35:35 KJV) Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all
manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the
embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the
weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning
work.

(Isaiah 10:13 KJV) For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it,
and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the
people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants
like a valiant man.

What instructions will be given to us that we might follow in order to perceive

the words of understanding? Instruction refers to the moral discipline of
walking in righteousness before God. If you do not know wisdom, and
instruction, than you will not perceive words of understanding and this is the
reason for all the issues in your life right now. Why? Because
understanding is the knowledge of the Holy One, and gives one the
capability to distinguish between true and false, good and bad, what matters
most and what does not matter at all. The beginning of your walk with God is

to fulfill your purpose here on earth. As you just learned, it is to know

wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding.

(v. 3) To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice and judgment, and

equity. Wisdom also means wise behavior, wise dealings, good sense.
In order to receive the instructions of wisdom, justice, judgment, and
equity, you must first know wisdom and instruction and have the ability to
perceive the words of understanding in order to deal wisely and with a good
sense of truth, in fairness, and in equity, which means in all your dealings
with others. Justice means conformity to Gods law and also is righteousness.
Judgment refers to the right behavior.

Each letter in the word Bible is said to stand for Basic Instructions before
Leaving Earth. Imagine if you would, that you want to go someplace that
you have never been before. To get there you must have wisdom enough to
be able to follow the instructions on how to get there. You may be capable of
following instructions on how to get from point A to point B, but would you be
able to follow instructions on how to build a satellite. The great thing about
God is, He gave all mankind the ability to know wisdom and instruction and
the ability to perceive the words of understanding; however, far too many
people do not seek out sound wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God
but rather, they focus on the things of the earth, like college education and

simply remain arrogant. I am not saying to do get a college education, but, in

all your getting, seek Godly wisdom first.

(v. 4) To give suability to the simple, to the young man knowledge and
discretion. The simple cannot make up their mind very easily. Have you ever
asked someone a simple question and they could not answer you. The simple
are nave young people open to any influence. There are many young people
I have run across that do not have the knowledge of God. All their focus is on
the new technology and TV, video games etc... They do not even know the
definition of discretion, and whose fault is this?

The definition of discretion as defined by the KJV dictionary:

DISCRETION
1. Prudence, or knowledge and prudence; that discernment which
enables a person to judge critically of what is correct and proper,
united with caution; nice discernment and judgment, directed by
circumspection, and primarily regarding ones own conduct.

(Psalm 112:5 KJV) A good man sheweth favor, and lendeth: he will guide his
affairs with discretion. We are not to let wisdom, knowledge and
understanding depart from our eyes: and in doing so, we must keep wisdom
and discretion. (Proverbs 3:21 KJV) My son, let not them depart from thine
eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion.

Dictionary definition continued:

2. Liberty or power of acting without other control than ones own judgment;
as, the management of affairs was left to the discretion of the prince; he is
left to his own discretion.
To surrender at discretion, is to surrender without stipulation or terms, and
commit ones self entirely to the power of the conqueror.

Teach your young discretion for their own good, this means others will not
offend or be carless with the information they know about other people. With
discretion, you will be capable of formulating and carrying out the right
measures in all your dealings. (Matthew 18:6-10 KJV) But whoso shall offend
one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the
depth of the sea. (v. 7) Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must
needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence
cometh! (v. 8) Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off,
and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or
maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting
fire. (v. 9) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is
better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to
be cast into hell fire. (v. 10) Take heed that ye despise not one of these little

ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the
face of my Father which is in heaven.

(v. 5) A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of
understanding shall attain unto wise counsel. I pray that you read this book
twice and then read proverbs three times because you will increase in
learning and will begin to understand how to apply scriptures to your life
through the reading of this book and the Bible. The wise as well as the
untaught can learn from Proverbs. The purpose of this book is to increase
your wisdom through the word of God written for your learning, so you will
attain knowledge and understanding. I guarantee that if you implement
these instructions, you will increase in learning by reading proverbs and this
book (Call of Two Women), and if you follow all the instructions within the
entire Bible, your life will never be the same again.

How do I know this? If you are wise, you will keep learning, you will keep
reading the Word of God, you will keep searching the scriptures because the
more you do, the more you will start understanding and will not be able to
put it down. When you do not understand something you will ask a pastor or
a fellow church member for the meaning of a proverb, you will start asking
others for an explanation to scriptures you do not understand and as a result
of that, you will increase in learning. Then you will begin to hunger and thirst
after righteousness so you will search harder and longer in the word of God,

and you will be filled. (Matthew 5:6 KJV) Blessed are they which do hunger
and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Be wise and increase in learning by reading your Bible every day, and
searching the scriptures continually. Then you will be able.. (v. 6) To
understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and
their dark sayings. Be assured that you have gained wisdom and have
increase in learning already, but the more you seek out the knowledge of
God and are able to research the meanings to scriptures you do not
understand, the more you will begin to understand the terms for riddles or
those thought-provoking sayings of the wise.

If you want to live a righteous lifestyle, you must first seek the kingdom of
God. To walk upright before the Lord demands advanced learning, practical
experience and judgment in the application of the word of God and is
governed by Christ our Lord and Savior and His code of conduct and practice.
Those who claim Christianity must individually and as a whole, adhere
strictly to Gods law and carry out their duties rendering to a high quality of
work and a high standard of ethics, in both behavior and work activities while
carrying out ones duties and as Christians holding positive attitudes toward
the law of Christ.

However, its not just about what you know of Christ that counts, but also
about how you act. How do you exhibit your behavior? And what kind of
image do you portray? Behaving godly in what you do, never compromising
your standards and values, and caring about His sheep, Gods children, and
your own walk with the Savior.

So, what about you? Can giving your life to God help you draw closer to
Christ? And, is it an expectation? Does it make a difference? Of course it
does. If you are seen as maintaining a Godly lifestyle, it will reflect on your
attitude with the people you deal with, and they will let others know. The
chemistry community is small and word spreads quickly both good and bad.
If you want to take the next step in your walk with Christ, you need to be
diligent in the way you learn and also in the way you act.

(Philippians 4:4-7 KJV) Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
(v. 5) Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. (v. 6)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (v. 7) And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.

If you want to give your life to Christ, at the end of this book you will find the
sinners prayer. However, unless you confess unto God yourself with all your
heart, this prayer or any other prayer will do you no good.

You must understanding the wisdom of God, His proverbs, and the
interpretations of it and the wise words written in the Bible and their mind
stimulating sayings. The more you study the Word of God, the more you will
gain the knowledge of God, increase in learning which increases your
wisdom, and the understanding of the Holy one.

(Matthew 6:33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you. If you seek God first you will
be given success.

Motto
Warning

What is knowledge? (Proverbs 1:7 KJV) The fear of the Load is the beginning
of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Sound knowledge
is knowledge of God, the apprehension of reality, including an experiential
knowledge of God. One who has the knowledge of God increases in wisdom
the more they search for the knowledge of God and follows His instructions.
There is a very distinct difference between knowledge, wisdom and

understanding. If the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, what

is the fear of the Lord? For the purpose of illustrating what the fear of the
Lord is, I am going to write out:

(Proverbs 8:13 KJV). The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and
arrogance, and the evil way, and the forward mouth, do I hate. The fear of
the Lord means the submission to the Lord and His revelation. If the fear of
the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and if you hate evil, pride,
arrogance, the evil way and the forward mouth, you have the beginning of
knowledge. The fear of the Lord is a healthy fear, like the fear of electricity of
the fear of ones parents, which causes one to act in an appropriate manner.
The fear of the Lord is therefore the controlling principle of wisdom.

Let us go to (Chapter 2) and (v. 3) and read through to verse (v. 6). Yea, if
thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; (v. 4)
If thou sleekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures; (v. 5)
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find knowledge of God.
(v. 6) For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and
understanding. The Lord will gladly give wisdom, knowledge and
understanding to those who seek it out. So if you kept reading and searching
for knowledge and lifting up your voice for understanding, you will be filled.
Did you pick up this book because you were searching for wisdom and
knowledge? By reading this book, you will gain wisdom through the words of

Gods mouth. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The
beginning of knowledge is the fear of the Lord which is to hate evil, pride,
arrogance, the evil way and the forward mouth.

Next, let us focus on the difference between wisdom knowledge and

understanding. Go with me to (Proverbs 9:10 KJV). The fear of the Lord is
the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding.
In (Proverbs 1:7 KJV), it reads, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
knowledge. It is knowledge until you have learned to hate evil: pride,
arrogance, the evil way, and the forward mouth, now it only then becomes
wisdom. Wisdom is gained through employing and fulfilling the knowledge
that to fear the Lord is to hate evil, pride, the evil way, arrogance and the
forward mouth. This is knowledge of the Holy One, and knowledge of the
Holy One is understanding.

Last but not least is the special application that is made when you follow the
instructions of wisdom, and humbly apply that wisdom to your life, (Proverbs
15:33 KJV) reveals. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and
before honor is humility. Are you able to see the simple steps you must take
here in order to do the will of God?

1) Until you read the Bible and seek out knowledge of God, you are
simple, unable to apprehend reality, including practical knowledge of
God.
2) When you search the scriptures, you will find the fear of the Lord is the
beginning of Knowledge, which means totally submitting to the Lord
and His revelation.
3) The wise will continue increasing in wisdom in order understand the
meanings of the proverbs and the interpretations; the terms used in
the Bible for riddles, or those thought-provoking sayings of the wise.
4) As you learn the meanings of the proverbs, you will understand what
the fear of the Lord is. Your next step is to submit yourself to Christ.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil
way, and the forward mouth.
5) Now you will have moved from the beginning of knowledge to wisdom.
You now have the wisdom of the Lord, which is knowledge of the Holy
one and is also understanding.
6) In all your wisdom, knowledge and understanding, be not wise in your
own eyes, but fear the Lord and do not choose evil. Practice prudence
and walking upright in wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
7) After you have applied the Word of God to your life, you graduate to
the next lever of spiritual growth, knowing that The fear of the Lord is
the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility, and to
depart from evil is understanding (Job 28:28 KJV)

These are the seven steps of found in the purpose of the book of (Proverbs
1:2 KJV) To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of

understanding; (v. 3) To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice and

judgment, and equity; (v. 4) To give suability to the simple, to the young man
knowledge and discretion. (v. 5) A wise man will hear, and will increase
learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsel. (v. 6) To
understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and
their dark sayings. (v. 7) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A fathers words of wisdom

1:8-9:1-18
The sinners enticement versus wisdoms plea
1:8-33
(Warning)
(v. 8) My son, hear the instructions of thy father, and forsake not the law of
thy mother: There are 10 similar discourses that begin with My son in
which the father appeals to the son to listen to his counsel and choose
wisdom over folly. Because the mother is mentioned, this shows that the
setting was the home, not the court or school. As children of God, we are to
hear the instructions of our father and not forget the law of our mother. This
means parents have the responsibility to teach their young at home the way
that they should go so that when they are older they will not depart from
God. (Proverbs 22:6 KJV) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when
he is old, he will not depart from it.

(1 Corinthians 13:11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as

a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish
things.

(v. 9) For they shall be an ornament of grace unto they head, and chains
about they neck. The ornament of grace and chains mentioned in (v. 9)
refer to a thing of beauty in ones life. So what about the parents that do not
raise their children in the way of the Lord? It is time to change this pattern
and give your children chains of grace about their neck so they will know
knowledge and discretion which a healthy and prosperous lifestyle you will
be instilling in your child(ren).

Parents should be teaching their children exactly like this next verse. (v. 10)
My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If someone tries to get
you to do something you are not supposed to do, dont do it, for this is
knowledge and discretion. Reject the invitation of criminals, who promise
wealth with no work. Do not fall for this trap.

(v. 11) If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily
for the innocent without cause. If they say to you, let us pull this prank on
somebody, it does not matter if the person is bad or not, let us get them. Do
not follow after them; do not follow after these sinners. (v. 12) Let us
swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into

the pit: (v. 13) We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses
with spoil.

Wanting riches and wealth is part of the human character and is in the heart
of every child. As responsible parents, we must make sure our children to not
seek riches in order to fill their house with spoil by swallowing up the
innocent without cause. (v. 14) Cast in thy lot among us, let us all have one
purse: the sinners will say to you. But dont fall to this temptation. Do not
even have these types of people as your friends. (v. 15) My son, walk not
thou in the way with them; refrain they foot from their path. Get away from
them and you will save yourself from harm. (v. 16) For their feet run to evil,
and make haste to shed blood.

The next verse gives an example of how humanity can be more arrogant
then a bird. (v. 17) Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
If a bird sees you spread a net in order to catch it, surely it will not go,
because it knows it is a trap. Likewise, if you see a trap, or someone invites
you to do evil; do not go because it is most surely a trap. Here is why God
warns you against following these sinners. (v. 18) And they lay wait for their
own blood; they lurk, privily for their own lives. (v. 19) So are the ways of
every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners
thereof.

Wisdom speaks

(v. 20) Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets. (v. 21)
She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in
the city she uttereth her words, saying. (v. 22) How long, ye simple ones, will
ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate
knowledge? No matter what your lifestyle is like right now, if you answer to
the call of wisdom: youre thinking process, thought patterns, behavior,
reaction, intention, imagination, morels, priorities, goals, dreams, ambitions,
etc will change.

This is what the new you will focus on. (Philippians 4:8 KJV) Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these things.

Changing your mindset to think according to (Philippians 4:8 KJV) will change
what you talk about. (Titus 2:1-15 KJV) But speak thou the things which
become sound doctrine: (v. 2) That the aged men be sober, grave,
temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. (v. 3) The aged women
likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers,
not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (v. 4) That they may teach

the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
(v. 5) To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own
husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (v. 6) Young men
likewise exhort to be sober minded. (v. 7) In all things shewing thyself a
pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
(v. 8) Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the
contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. (v. 9)
Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them
well in all things; not answering again; (v. 10) Not purloining, but shewing all
good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all
things.

Thinking (Philippians 4:8 KJV) and speaking (Titus 2:1-15 KJV) speech will
result in a (Titus 2:11-15 KJV) Christian Lifestyle.
(Titus 2:11-15 KJV)
The Christian Life
(v. 11) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all
men, (v. 12) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (v. 13)
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God
and our Savior Jesus Christ; (v. 14) Who gave himself for us, that he might
redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,

zealous of good works. (v. 15) These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke
with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Why are you the way you are? What drives you? What are your priorities and
morals? Do you value your life? Are you quick to follow the evil way? How
many times have you made a promise to give your life to God, but
something always happened that you gave up? Or made a promise to
yourself to get rid of a bad habit you just cannot kick? Not walking in
righteousness and doing away with the things that are not of God is only
killing you. The hardest thing for most people is letting go of the past. For
some reason, the past influences every decision they make, so living
according to the scriptures read in (Philippians 4:8 KJV),(Titus 2:1-15 KJV) and
(Titus 2:11-15 KJV) seems impossible. The past molds their mind by the
emotions at the time of the bad experiences they recall. You hurt me 5 years
ago, so I do not trust you anymore! You lied to me about something I cant
even remember, and once a liar, always a liar, etc.
(Philippians 3:13-16 KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forth unto those things which are before, (v. 14) I press toward the
mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (v. 15) Let us
therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be
otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. (v. 16) Nevertheless,
whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind
the same thing.

Have you ever asked the question, why does life have to be so hard? Life is
complex to the simple but for the wise it is a simple thing. This is why the
gap between those that have and those that do not have, continues to grow
wider and wider every day. Wisdom herself is calling to you saying, how
long, ye simple ones will ye love simplicity? O but you want to be
successful, you want wealth, and you want the finer things in life! But you
dont want to learn anything, you do not want to pick up a book and read it,
you do not want to inherit the earth because you do not want to increase
your learning. How long, you simple minded people, will you love being
simple? Wisdom is so important that God Himself used it in creating the
world, and now wisdom is calling out to you in public places to everyone to
come to her and learn. Especially the simple ones, or untaught, scorners, or
scoffers; and the fools or morally dull. For the consequence of rejecting
wisdom are immense.
You have everything it takes to learn about anything you want to learn about.
You can accomplish anything you set your mind to, if you want it bad
enough; and you do not have to acquire it forcefully, or illegally. Do not
delight in taking advantage of people just to get by. (Philippians 1:6 KJV)
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in
you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
When you face trials or tribulations it is for a reason. Not for a punishment or
any negative reason, but it is there in your life to strengthen you. When the
situation becomes difficult, the stronger you will become in Christ and the

closer your walk with Him will become. It's amazing how strong the human
spirit is. It is not simple, it is not easy, it will not happen overnight but you
can make it if you try hard enough. Earnestly seek wisdom as a prospector
would search for gold. It is not an undirected search because true wisdom
comes from the knowledge of God by the reading and meditating on the
word of God.
(v. 23) Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, will
make known my words unto you. If you seek the wisdom of God; you will
find what you are looking for. If you knock at the door of knowledge in Christ,
the door will be opened to you and if you ask for understanding of the Holy
One, it will be given to you. (Matthew 7:7-8 KJV) Ask, and it shall be given
you; seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (v. 8) For
every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that
knocketh it shall be opened.
If you do not listen and take heed to Gods words, if you do not listen to
wisdom calling out for you, if you refuse to take Christ by the hand and
disregard who He is, if you do not accept counsel, but do your own thing
instead, this is what will happen(v. 24) Because I have called, and ye
refused, I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; (v. 25) but ye
have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: (v. 26) I
also will laugh at your calamity, I will mock when your fear cometh; (v. 27)
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a
whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. (v. 28) Then shall

they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they
shall not find me: (v. 29) For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose
the fear of the Lord.
To those that do not choose wisdom, they will be laughed at when their
calamities come, and mocked when they become afraid. When their fear is
so bad it begins to destroy them and everything they worked so hard for gets
destroyed as if a whirlwind came and took it away, then they will find they
are miserable and stressed out with no solutions to their problems.
As a parent, if you warn your child(en) not to do something because he/she
will get hurt. If the child(en) does not obey your counsel and does it anyway,
wouldnt that make the you upset? Would you say something like, I told you
not to do that, I told you if you did it, you would be hurt? You made your bed,
now you have to lay in it, because you did not listen to my instructions.
But what happens after the child does not listen and gets hurt? They call out
for their parents right? (Proverbs 1:28 KJV) Then shall they call upon me,
but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: (v.
29) For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
(v. 30) They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. (v. 31)
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their
own devices. Because you did not listen and seek wisdom, you did not
search out knowledge and choose the fear of the Lord which is to hate evil,
pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the forward mouth you will have made
your own bed, so you will have to sleep in it. You will not be saved from your

calamities, fear, depression, bad habits, poverty; abusive relationships, not

any of the devastation you will face.
(v. 32) For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the
prosperity of fools shall destroy them. (v. 33) But whoso hearkeneth unto me
shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Your own simplicity
will be our own destruction, and the fools that do acquire great wealth will be
destroyed by it, all because they lack sound wisdom, discretion, knowledge,
and understanding. If you listen and follow the instructions of wisdom and
hear what God has to say about being prosperous and follow all those
instructions. If you love knowledge, wisdom and understanding, you will not
have to experience fear and all that you do will prosper. God is so loving, so
caring, so passionate, so long suffering, He make it very clear. God is not
willing that any should perish. (2 Peter 3:9 KJV) The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.
