BACKGROUND & RATIONALE

The proponents come up to design a Three Day Seminar Workshop for PreService Educators, as being a requirement in the Field Study 6, to be one of the
ways in preparing them from being pre-service educators going to their chosen path,
being a holistic and genuine educators of the future.
It serves as a reinforcement to increase the know-how of the future educators about
the latest as well as the basic essential trends on education. It will promote better and
clearer understanding and awareness about the magnificence and nobility of
teaching.
Also, in response to the Commission on Higher Educations view on the role of
seminars and workshops as essential ways in improving quality education, this project
will help to enhance pre-service educators knowledge, competence and passion as
they pursue their way on becoming full-fledged educators.
III.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The I TEACH 2013 aims to:


1. impart and promote better understanding on how noble is the teaching profession;
2. show the importance of setting proper learning targets in order to maximize
learning in everyday school discussion;
3. inculcate to the education students how important the principles & strategies of
teaching on becoming effective and efficient teachers;
4. update the future educators specially the science major students about the usage
of spiral approach in teaching;
5. update the future educators on the assessment of students learning in the K-12
way and;
6. enlighten and inform future educators about the importance of the National
Competency Based Teacher Standard in the field of education.
IV.

DESIRED IMPACT AND OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT

The I Teach Project is aiming to provide pre-service educators the necessary and
up-to-date advancements and current trends in the field of education, preparing them
to become well-aware about what is education in the 21st century.
In connection with the ideals stated above, this project dreams to become part of
the lives of every CCCean in a long-term basis. It desires to become an annual event
in the College of Education by establishing the trademark I TEACH DEVELOPING
PRE-SERVICE TEACHER EDUCATION as the official brand anchored to the Field
Study 6s seminar and workshop requirement which is conducted annually by the F.S
Class.
The vision of the I Teach Project with the approval from the Dean of the College of
Education and the Calabanga Community College Management along with the
supports from the Community Stakeholders will become feasible and fruitful as it
continues its vitality from years to years.
