2015 Summer Calendar
June 4 Downtown Minocqua
Torpy Park, Bearskin Trail and Main Street all provide very interesting opportunities. This is a great place to open our painting season and lots of opportunities for lunch afterward so we can all catch up on what we learned during the winter! Parking is available in Lot C, next to the post office.
August 6 Blue Bayou Inn
July 2 No painting due to Holiday events!
June 11 Koller Park / MW Dam
July 9 Hawks Nest (Manitowish)
Located in downtown Manitowish Waters. There
are great views of Rest Lake as well as the Dam. We may want to bring a still-life set up (Picnic style) to provide an interesting painting opportunity! Parking and Porto-lets are available. Lunch at the Pea Patch.
Located at 253 N HWY 51 and offers great river views
behind the building. (Please be prudent when parking to not block the building or customer parking spaces.)

June 25 Coons Franklin Lodge
Located 10 miles north of Minocqua in Arbor Vitae. This beautiful lodge has been owned and operated by the Coon Family since 1892. C.J. Coon started what was then known as Camp Franklin, a hunting and fishing lodge. It offers great lake views and classic Northwoods cabins! (We are invited for lunch so please let me know if you are interested!)
John & Barb McFarland are welcoming the artists to
their home to paint!! They have a beautiful home and lovely setting so there should be many great subject choices. Join us at 697 Alder Lake Rd in Manitowish Waters.

Red Crown Lodge
An elegant lakeside resort recognized as one of the
nations most prestigious executive retreat and conference facilities and located on the shores of picturesque Trout Lake, We are welcome there between 7:00 A.M. and 11:00 so plan to arrive early. They face east so sunrise might offer some great colors and shadows. Located at 3852 US Highway 51 North in Arbor Vitae,
Located in Manitowish Waters on Highway 51 at the
bridge connecting Lake Manitowish to Spider Lake and directly across from Greers Pier. In addition to beautiful lake views the building itself would make a great subject with its flower boxes and Southern Louisiana dcor!
August 13 Star Lake
This will be a new adventure for the Outdoor Artists. The Sayner-Star Lake area is located between Eagle River and Minocqua and north of St. Germain (Hwy 70) on Hwy 155. Star Lake is located on County N East North to County K West. Interesting sites include the Miltown Depot, Old Bait Shop and the Vilas Historical Museum. Lunch at the Sayner Pub on Main St.
August 20 Vosss Birchwood Lodge
Located in Manitowish Waters on Hwy 51, just before crossing the bridge over Lake Manitowish. This nostalgic resort dates back to 1910 and has many interesting cabins and wonderful lake views for the Plein Air Artist. Let me know if you want to stay and have lunch at the Settlers Inn.

Boulder Boat Landing (H&K)
This is a nice little spot with lake vistas and river
rapids flowage. Parking and Latrine available. Lunch in Boulder will close out the season!
