Everywhere Man Video Project

Assignment:

You have been hired as a video editor by J Cash Inc. They want you to create a promotional
video for their travel agency on all the fun places you can visit. You are to follow the
directions given by the project manager for the target audience to complete the project.
Once complete then you should review the checklist for grading criteria before turning in
your work. Complete and submit this rubric for this project once it has been completed.
You will work in groups of two for this project.
Steps:
1. Create a folder on the W: drive under the Everywhere Man folder (name your name &
partners name). You will place your photo composites, music file, Windows Movie
Maker project file, and video file here).
2. Save the Everywhere Man audio file and song lyrics to the subfolder you created.
(Youll find the audio file and lyrics in the W:/Everywhere Man folder.)
3. Take 10 pictures of each other against a plain background (use green screen if you
would like). Make each picture a different posebe creative! You should have a total of
20 pictures. Each person should upload his/her 10 pictures to his/her computer.
4. Each person is responsible for preparing his/her photos for the assignment and then
saving them to the folder the group created on the W: drive.
a. Import each photo from your computer into PowerPoint, crop each picture, and
remove the background. Save each picture as a JPEG.
b. Go online and find high quality (not pixelated) pictures to match the song lyrics.
c. Using PowerPoint, create new composite photos for each picture you found
(including you in the background). Resize your image as needed to fill the slide.
If pictures are too blurry or pixelated once they have been resized, then you
cannot use them and you must find different pictures. You cannot repeat
background pictures, and you must use all 10 photos of yourself in the
composites. Save each of your photo composites and add them to the folder you
created on the W: drive.
d. Rename composite photos to make it easier to add them to your timeline.
5. Open Microsoft Movie Maker. Create a new project. Import the Ive Been Everywhere
song (found in the Everywhere Man folder on the W: drive). Edit the audio for the
section you want to use, but you must use the slow open for the beginning, the chorus,
a list of cities, and the ending chorus. You may need to use Audacity to edit the music.
6. Import the JPEG composites into Microsoft Movie Maker. Edit the photos on the beat of
the voice to complete the project. The photos should alternate between each person in
your group, so you will need to plan ahead for this. Each person will work for 30
minutes on Microsoft Movie Maker and then switch and the next person will pick up
where it was left off. Plan ahead to maximize your time and efforts. You will have 41 or
more images in your project (6 for intro, 6 for chorus, 22-24 for places, and 7 for ending
chorus).
7. Create a final slide in PowerPoint that includes the name of the companyJ Cash, Inc.
Think about the Super Bowl ads we watched and what was included at the end.
Consider creating a logo, adding contact information (web address or phone number),
and adding a hashtag. You may even add a slogan.

When along came a semi with a high an' canvas-covered load.

"If you're goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride."

And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside.

He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand.

And I said, "Listen, I've traveled every road in this here land!"
