Mentored pre-student teacher from Wayne State University. Conducted formal and informal
observations and evaluations while providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback.
Facilitated shared conversations among students about a variety of topics in small groups
and whole class discussions. Students followed agreed-upon rules for discussions where
students would listen, take turns, and raise their hand when expressing their feelings or ideas.
Fostered lifelong learning of literacy by actively engaging in group reading activities with

Introduced writers workshop where students used a combination of drawing and writing to
create different genres of writing. Students edited and published their writing pieces, which

words on a page, recognize and name all upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
