    Nonetheless,theFacingHistoryclasspresentedanewtopicthatisnotonlyimportant,but
    misconceivedbyseveralindividuals:Feminism.Tostartoffthisdiscussion,eachadvisory
    completedasilentchalktalkansweringquestions/statementsaboutFeminism.Myadvisory
    receivedthequestionsaboutstereotypesamongmen,womenandfeminism.Afterwards,we
    watchedseveralvideosaboutsomemisconceptionsoffeminism,someperspectivesofrandom
    malesonthestreet,animpactfulvideoaboutgirlsovercomingstereotypes,andavideoabout
    whyonepersonwasafeminist(whilealsotacklingallthestereotypesaddressedintheprevious
    videosandnamingstatistics).Thisvideoswereanexcellentwaytoopentheeyesofstudentsat
    Blackstone.Itrepresentshowsocietyseesfeministsandwomenassimplyanannoyance.Society
    thinksfeministsareonlycomplainingaboutthingstheywantandhowtheyallhatemen.Society
    hasthetendencytoshutoutpeoplewhodefythem.Feministsaredoingwhattheycantobe
    heardandhaveequalrightsFOREVERYONE.Notjustwomen.
    Thisactivityhasprovidedmewithnewinformationandreiteratedotherimportantideas
    thatIfeltneededtobeheardbyeveryone.Asawomaninarathertraditionalfamily,Ihave
    alreadyheardthousandsoftimesfrommymotherthatIneedtocookandcleanorbemore
    ladylikeandhavedecencybecauseitsallexpectedfrommeduetomygender.Because

    Imawoman,IhaveresponsibilitiesaroundthehousethatIneedtodo.Despitethese
    characteristicsthatshetriedtoplaceuponme,thereweretimeswheremymothertoldmeto
    standmygroundagainstaman.ThatIwasapersonwhodeservedtoberespectedandtreatedthe
    sameaseveryoneelse.ShesaidthatIamapersonwhofollowswhatIsayandnotwhataman
    tellsmetodo.Ithinkthatitsimportantforeveryonetohearwhatmymomtellsme.Weallneed
    tobetreatedequally.Thatsallwearetryingtosay.Althoughourdiscussiondidntseemtobe
    asimpactfulasIwouldhaveliked,Idohopethateveryoneunderstoodthemainmessage
    Feminismissimplyequalityforallgenders,notjustfemales.
