The Beginners Mind

1. According to Zukav, a beginners mind is to open to possibilities, accept the

upcoming, to start a fresh mind.
2. Nonsense means a statement which doesnt fit or make sense to a given
topic. Zukav doesnt complicate my preconceptions about nonsense because
I absolutely agree with him.
3. In TOK, the cup analogy is metaphorically used as the brain storing
knowledge. The cup is the brain, and the liquid is the knowledge the brain
can store. We notice that the cup has a limit of storing the liquid.
4. Weird George does not have a beginners mind. Weird George believes that
he is a football. He kept insisting on his statement. In his point of view or his
thinking, he understands that he is a football. Einstein, on the other hand,
thinks that Weird George is a football and is not one. There, Einstein precedes
his theory to find his answer. This concludes that Einstein is more open to
possibilities, whereas Weird Georges cup is full.
5. The story of The Emperors New Clothes is relevant to the concept of
ideology by telling us that in a group of people living in the same
environment, each individual is different, and there will come a time when
they stop believing in their opinions or point of view, and everyone believes
in one thing.
6. The view from nowhere means a perspective that is created from no sources
or past experiences.
7. It is impossible to have a view from nowhere. Because people cannot think of
something that is out of nowhere. They need a source or sources that support
their views. For example, a babys surroundings-----action and words that the
baby sees or witnesses, affects that babys future self, making him/her what
kind of person s/he is in the future.
