To Whom It May Concern:

Ashley Aguiar has proven to be an exemplary student throughout the school year, exhibiting a
wealth of knowledge and skillsets and an astounding level of maturity, curiosity and character that
distinguish her amongst her peers. I have had the joy of teaching her in my AP English Language and
Composition class, where she constantly pushes herself and her peers to strive for success.
Since day one of the school year, Ashley has demonstrated all of the characteristics of an
exemplary student. She focuses, listens, takes detailed notes, reads closely, thinks creatively,
participates, asks thoughtful questions, challenges herself and others, and makes insightful observations.
In short, she actively engages in anything and everything; her academic curiosity and desire for
knowledge is impressive.
Ashleys strengths and effort reflect in her scores as she consistently earns some of the highest
marks on all assignments. However, even more impressive than her academic success is her character;
she always remains humble, eager to learn from other students, and eager to help them learn. She also
demonstrates great responsibility as she thrives on a demanding course schedule coupled with various
extra curricular leadership roles. In short, she serves as a beacon of the character pillars.
Ashleys tenacity to excel and her kindness and respect toward others is all contagious. Other
students recognize her strengths and generally respond in two ways: they push themselves to do their
best in order to emulate Ashleys success, and/or they turn to her seeking advice or clarity, which she
readily gives. Other students trust and look up to her. Her impact on her peers and the classroom
environment- and, for that matter, on the school community as a whole, for she regularly volunteers- is
overwhelmingly positive.
Hoping to do justice to her character and drive (or as much as I am able to do so in a letter), and
with an unquestioning conviction that she would enthusiastically and substantially contribute to a
positive and enriching culture at any organization, I submit this letter of recommendation for Ashley
Aguiar.
