Purpose/Scope
This work package encompasses all

requirements for commissioning, both

mechanically and electrically, the DC/UPS
System.

Precautions
Personnel working with, on, or around the DC/UPS
System should review all applicable safety guidelines
and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

TASKS
1.

Inspect for visible damage to any cable or termination.

2.

Check for proper installation and cleanliness.

3.

Check for any equipment damage to chargers, batteries and bolts.

4.

Check size and current capacity of supply and load cables.

5.

Ensure battery systems are isolated from load and ventilation is unobstructed.

6.

Perform initial charge according to vendor recommendations.

7.

If solution is added, check battery specific gravity with hydrometer.

8.

Check for system ground faults.

9.

Check functioning of control switches.

Check functioning of solenoid valves.

11.

Verify Battery System Discharge Testing Results record has been updated.
