The second battle to help the economy out of its slump was the Battle of Lira. Lira was making exports expensive and
creating a lot of unemployment and was more of an agricultural nation than an industrial nation even though it got Italy
through the depression it was now bringing it down so he was gonna try to keep it and give it some purchasing
powers.then came the third battle, the Battle for Grain. The Battle for Grain was to replace the inexpensive fruits and
veggies and replace them with expensive grain. This made the grain rise in price in the cities which did not help the

In Italy the Roman Catholic Church has a giant reputation and is very popular, which is why Mussolini needed to
get their support so his reign on italy can grow. Their relationship had been called Marriage of Convenience
because Mussolini only used the church for gaining more fascist support. But Mussolini gained the Roman
Catholics support from behaving like a good catholic. When he got their support he gave them what they
requested, which was putting church in school and granting them 110 acres of land to start their own city, and in
this city, the church was able to create its own laws and run that small state by itself. Gajjar

Mussolini had to work with the Roman Catholic Church to gain what he wanted and to keep the Italians happy
and to keep a schism from happening in Italy. So they wrote a treaty but the most important part was the
concordat, which made Roman Catholic the state religion. So the pope put it in primary and secondary schools.

In 1945 the germans were losing a lot of their invasions, so Mussolini tried to flee to Switzerland disguised as a
