DearSir/Madame,
My name is Jane McKenna and I am an Art and Design teacher. I
completed my studies in the Limerick School of Art and Design on the
Higher Diploma in Art and Design Education course 2013/2014,
receiving a Second class Honours Grade 2. I completed a Bachelor
Honours Degree in Fashion Design in the Limerick School of Art and
Design in 2011 with a second class honours. Though I specialised in
Fashion Design, I am capable of teaching various types of art such as
Ceramics, Sculpture and Printmaking. I am hardworking, enthusiastic
and determined person. I am capable of working with students of
different abilities and special needs which include visual impairment,
Down syndrome and Autism. I have experience teaching in various

schools, teaching the craft paper to leaving certificate students which

includes puppetry, hand-printed textiles, embroidery and weaving. I
love working with children and young people and am keen to inspire
creativity, encourage and discover individual ability in every child. I
wish to share my skills with children to foster a fun and engaging
learning environment.
I am confident that I would be an asset to your school and look forward
to hearing from you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Jane McKenna
