Mohd. Yousuf = My view for the Common Assessment is
that it gives us the opportunity to test ourselves in
learning skills so that we know how much we were taught
and how much we learnt.

Mufti Day is a day when students are

allowed to wear casual clothes. In
return, students are told to give an
exact amount of money to donate for
charity or a school-fund raising effort.
In many schools Mufti Day is liked by
students because they like to wear
casual clothes. Which encourages more
students to donate a lot of money. As
well in my opinion Mufti Day shows us
the importance of donating money to
the needy and poor for a cause.

The weather of Dubai is changing since 15th

October. Some breezes came and it even rained in
most of places in UAE. It was good after the rain
but after 5 days of rain the weather became hot
and dry but as November started the weather got
better and better and better. There is a cold breeze
in the morning and cold at night.. the weather will
be getting cold till December and then rain will
start as the news is coming..

Sharjah International Book Fair is a ten-day

event international book fair held annually in
Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Sharjah
International Book Fair started since 1982
under the continued guidance and patronage of
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed
Al-Qasimi, the UAE Supreme Council Member
and Ruler of Sharjah. Since its inauguration in
1982, Sharjah Book Fair has become to be the
4th largest book fair in the world so I was very
happy that I had went to it as well I had
bought amazing books and not to forget this
year they had many authors coming. It was
nice

experience that our school has

participated in this activity.

Common Assessment's and Mufti day- The common assessments were held to
test our abilities of understanding what has been taught in the class during the
first term. And, we had Mufti day right after the assessment week. It is a function
where students wear casuals for a charitable cause. Although, we have regular
classes but with a package of extra fun.
At the beginning of the common assessments, I felt nervous and uncertain but, I
took it up as a challenge. I was definite about English, Social Studies, and Arabic as
well. But, I was doubtful about Maths, Urdu and ICT. And, realized I need to
work on it. .
And, then was Mufti day that was extremely exciting and fun for me and for all
the students and Teachers. However, there were no extra activities that I expected
such as Brain teasers or Quizzes etc.
To conclude, the assessments helped me improve in the areas where I was weak at
and uncertain of and enabled me to focus more on my weak spots and to
highlight my strong points. And the Mufti day added a little sparkle to the start of
this school year.

This month we are learning various lessons for different subjects.

Literacy- We have learnt many topics related on The Canterville Ghost &
Two Geniuses. Maths- We have learnt Constructions and are learning
Algebra. Science- We have started Microbes. Social Studies- We learnt
about the UAE Industry and the Economic Development. And in ArabicThe lesson Talking on the Phone we have been learning
