I understand that, as a Computer & Internet user, I am responsible for my actions and that I am responsible to act
considerately and appropriately, in accordance with the following rules. When using any Robertson County Schools
Technology Resources including computers and the Internet, I will not:

Send, display, or download offensive messages or pictures.

Duplicate software (disk or CD music or data)
Use obscene language.
Attempt to bypass system protection.
Harass, insult or attack others.
Use the network or systems for commercial use.
Damage computers, computer systems, or computer networks
Buying or selling on the Internet.
Download music or other non-educational software.
Attempt to enter administrative network areas or other network areas not related to specific classroom.
Violate copyright laws.
Use other users passwords.
Trespass in other users files, folders or work
Intentionally waste limited resources
Load software not specifically licensed to Robertson County Schools.

Users with network access shall not utilize district resources to establish or use electronic mail accounts through third-party
providers or any other non-standard electronic mail or personal account system.
(Examples: America Online Accounts, CompuServe, and other third party providers)
All data including e-mail communications stored or transmitted on school system computers shall be monitored.
Employees/Students have no expectation of privacy with regard to such data.
I understand that any or all of the following sanctions could be imposed if I violate any of the policies and procedures regarding the
use of Robertson County Schools Technology Resources, including the Internet.
1. Loss of access to Internet and or use of computers or other technology resources.
2. Additional disciplinary action to be determined at the individual school in line with existing practice regarding inappropriate
language or behaviour.
3. Legal action, when applicable.

Please read, sign and return this form to your media specialist in the library. This form is required of all Robertson County students
who access county owned technology. After receipt of signed form, the student will receive and Internet license card. This card
must be presented to teacher or administrator to use the Internet in the school. Receipt of card acknowledges students acceptance
