Overview
The

Urinary System consists of the kidneys, ureters,


urethra, and urinary bladder
The kidney removes waste out of our body called urine
The ureter, bladder, and urethra help drain urine from
the kidney

Kidney
The

kidney flows blood from the assist from the nephron


Nephrons contain blood vessels called glomerulus
The glomerulus then has a filter tube that gets waste out
of the kidney

The Nephron
The

Nephron filtrates the excess water


It cleans away waste that is in the blood
Reabsorbs nutrients in the body

Problems that may occur in The Urinary


System
Urinary

Tract Infection: Any type of damage/infection that


is caused in any of the organs of The Urinary System
Painful Bladder Syndrome: Urinary Tract Infection caused
by bacteria
Prostatitis: Swelling of the organs in The Urinary System
