Topic: Child Labor

Country: Venezuela
We'd all like a world where kids don't have to work, says 17-year-old Noem Gutirrez,
a leader of Bolivia's Union of Child and Adolescent1. Venezuela believes that the United Nations

should provide money to the Venezuelan government to solve the problem of Child labor. The
country of Venezuela depends on the need of money, if the country of Venezuela has enough
money to run the country there wouldnt be a need of Child labor. The economy in Venezuela is
in desperate need of financial support. If the United Nations doesnt act fast Venezuelan children
are going to starve and continue to do forced labor. If Venezuela had the money Venezuela would
change everything. Instead of children being forced into labor and being separated from their
families instead they will be going to school and gaining education and knowledge and they can
really have fun and be kids.
Child labor is a huge concern in Venezuela. Children in Venezuela have to be involved dangerous
work labor/ forced labor. Young Venezuelan children are now becoming street beggars. The
education rates are really low therefore; the Venezuelan children are now working instead of
being educated. As the Venezuelan government its our job to provide kids with education.
According to a News Ela article called In Afghanistan, school is a luxury that many working
children cannot afford it tells a story of a young boy Sami Rahimi who wakes up every day in
the morning at 5:00 am and sweeps and does labor through the whole day. Sami sleeps on a
bread rack over the cold concrete floor. Just at 13 years old he is already working he is separated
from his family and he does his work every single day just to earn money to provide for his
family because his family is in poor condition and he is the only one that is able to work. This is

really hard for Sami, this right here is called child labor and this is all because we have very little
money to do that we need to do to survive. Money can help Venezuela end Child labor for good
and provide them with education instead. Children are forced into labor whether if its
agriculture or sexual content. Families are desperate and they dont have enough money to
provide the family. Instead of adults working, their kids are working instead. Thats not the only
problem. Venezuela has been trying to end child labor for good. Venezuela has been offering jobs
to more people; they have also improved, and also made laws. But, still it has been difficult.
Venezuela has been forming organizations that can help end child labor. 2 Venezuelan
organizations gathered last Thursday at CEDICE headquarters as part of world day of against
child labor. Venezuela has been trying to increase the rates in education making child labor rates
go down. According to 3 it states Venezuela has improved since the 1980s in terms of education
levels and child labor rates. Venezuela has been trying to set laws to stop child labor from
happening. According to 4 it states Venezuela, said that public policies in recent years have been
aimed at protecting young people and children who are already working. Venezuela has been
using all of their resources thus, making their economy to run short. Venezuela has been trying
their best to stop child labor from happening. Venezuela is still struggling because Venezuela
cant really do much to help end child labor, if Venezuela doesnt have the resources such as
education. Education is a way that can end child labor but Venezuela needs money and
Venezuela doesnt have the money.

Some may suggest, that why wont you just use education to solve child labor? Well let
me tell you why? Venezuela needs education for children. 5 More children are dropping out of
school. This proves that education is needed. And another example is
Although Venezuela needs education where is Venezuela supposed to get it from. Venezuela is
poor and on their own they cant do much to really stop child labor from happening. If the
government of Venezuela had money they can use that money to a much positive affect which
can provide the students with the education that the kids need instead of working in forced labor.
Education wont work because it wont end child labor for good. Even though the idea of
education ending child labor sounds like a good idea, but its not an idea that would cover the
whole ground on this situation of child labor.
Venezuela believes that to end child labor is to provide money that can help the
government. The United Nations should do the right this and provide money that can help the
Venezuelan government to stop child labor from happening in the country. This will help the UN
stop child labor because Venezuelan people will be very happy that that Venezuela has enough
money to provide schools and jobs. It wouldnt work if you just provide Venezuela with just
education. This hasnt work because, Venezuela is a poor country and building schools will lower
the economy. The UN can provide financial support for the country instead so they can extend
the population and make Venezuelan better like building structures allowing more jobs to open
up. If the United Nations want to end child labor then they should be providing financial support
to help other countries in need to end child labor.
