World War 2: Horrifying Nazi Human

Experiments Uncovered
Twin Children
Experimented
In early 1943 a man named Josef
Mengele applied for transfer to the
concentration camp where he
looked to take genetic research on
humans. His application was approved and was sent to the
Auschwitz concentration camp.
Mengele research subjects were
better fed and housed than other
camps and were temporarily safe
from the gas chambers. He included a playground and would occasionally give them sweets but don't
be fooled by this. Experiments on
many twin children were done to
see the similar and dierent aspects in their genetics. Twins were
forced to weekly examinations and
measurements of their physical attributes by Mengele or one of his assistants. Experiments conducted by
him included unnecessary amputations of limbs, intentionally infecting limbs with diseases, and transferring blood from a twin to
another. Many victims died while
under these experiments. Sometimes ater an experiment was over
the twins would be killed and bodies were dissected. One occasion
Mengele decided to kill fourteen
twins in one night by injecting them
with chloroform which is a very
lethal chemical. He also attempted
to create conjoined twins by sowing
two Romanitwins together back to
back. The children died days ater
suering due to gangrene. Josef
Mengele also had other experiments. He attempted to change the

gas chambers to be killed and their

skeletons were then sent away for
further studying.

Humans
Frozen Alive
To determine the most eective
means for treating German pilots
who had become severely chilled
from ejecting into the ocean, or
German soldiers who suered extreme exposure on the Russian
front, Rascher and others conduct-

when he was exposed to the hot

water. Although the man was
promised to be let free from the
camp for his duty, ater all the experiments and trials were over they
shot him in the head.
What these scientist are doing to
the prisoners of these camps is horrifying. They give no mercy to these
people and they promises them reward but leave them with nothing.
It was extremely painful to watch
this man get tortured throughout
the whole process yet the soldiers
and the scientist had little sympathy.

For up to five hours at a time, they
placed victims into vats of icy
water, either in aviator suits or
naked; they took others outside in
the freezing cold and strapped
them down naked. As the victims
writhed in pain, foamed at the
mouth, and lost consciousness, the
doctors measured changes in the
patients' heart rate, body temperature, muscle reflexes, and other factors. When a prisoner's internal
body temperature fell to 79.7F, the
doctors tried rewarming him using
hot sleeping bags, scalding baths,
even naked women forced to copulate with the victim. Some 80 to 100
patients perished during these experiments.

of living test subjects. People with
heterochromatic eyes were killed
and sent away to be further researched. His experiments with
dwarfs included extracting blood,
extracting teeth and treatment with
unnecessary drugs and X-rays.
Many of these dwarfs were sent to

more a test subject for the experiment they were doing today. From
a distance, I could hear the soldier
speaking to the prisoners. "Attention! We are in need of someone to
participate in an experiment. If you
participate, we will let you free from
the camp." He yelled into the
crowd. Instantly, you could hear everyone in the den yell out to pick
them. The soldier picked out a tall,
healthy looking young man. We
walked to the laboratory that was
nearby where we met with Professor Ernst Holzlhner and Dr. Sigmund Rascher. They welcomed me

June 27, 1942 When I arrived to

Dachau, the Nazi soldiers were laying out all the dead prisoners on
the floor. Already, I had chills running down my spine. Staring into
the eyes of an emaciated, pale blue
and lifeless prisoner thrown onto
the dirt made my stomach crunch.
The soldier that was giving me the
tour asked me if I wanted a handkerchief to cover my nose and
mouth so I wouldn't have to smell
their bodies burn. The soldier asked
me to wait outside while he got

in and explained to me what it was

they were doing. Recently they
have been conducting freezing experiments and testing the human
limit in excruciatingly cold temperatures. Their intent was discovering
how to prevent and treat hypothermia for German pilots who go down
to The North Sea. Professor Holzhner and Dr. Sigmund have done
a myriad of tests. One of them involves placing either unwilling prisoners or prisoners who are
promised a reward, outside naked
in the freezing cold for about 14
hours. The experiment they were
showing me involved placing someone in ice water for up to 5 hours at
most. The test subject they selected
from the camp was placed in an experimental Lutwae garment. He
was placed in the water filled with
large blocks of ice (as shown in the
image below) and as he layed there
for 4 hours they measured his pulse
and internal temperature. As I
watched you could easily see the
distress and pain this man was going through. When they finally let
him out he could barely move. The
experiment had almost broken him.
They took o the garment and
threw him into a tub of extremely
hot water. The man was screaming
in pain for his body could not take
the temperature transition. They
measured the same exact things

Nazi began dealing with dierent

types of poisonous gases for the
purpose of mass murdering. They
first were directed against mental
patients and Germans who were
seen as unworthy of life because of
mental illness or physical disabilities. Between September 1939 and
April 1945, experiments were taken
at dierent camps ran by the Nazi
party to study mustard gas wounds.
The test subjects were exposed to
mustard gas and tested dierent
ways to treat the subjects. The test
subjects endured immense pain
and many died shortly ater. They
constantly searched for eective
ways to exterminate people. They
conducted experiments with Zyklon
B by gassing 600 soviet prisoners of
war and 250 ill prisoners in September 1941. They were able to prove
the quickest gassing methods and
used them for future gassing. In the
1930s the Nazi began a large sterilization on a huge population on
German citizens. The first German
sterilization law was passed on July
14, 1933. Which allowed the forced
sterilization for anyone suering
from blindness, deafness, depression, epilepsy, mental
defectiveness, brain disorders and
alcoholism. Although other nations
were first to start sterilizing no nation carried it out as far as Germany
did. 300,000 to 400,000 were sterilized during this law. Sterilization
experiments were done at the
Auschwitz concentration camp and
other places. These experiments
were done by x-ray, surgery and different drugs. The injections that

were done were successful but had

bad side eects such as vaginal
bleeding, abdominal pain and cervical cancer. In result to that it was
decided that radiation treatment
would be used. Prisoners would
come into a room and asked to fill
out a form, which would take two
to three minutes. They would then
leave and have no clue of what had
happened. Although many did suffer radiation burns.

Up, Up & Away

A couple months ago I visited the
Dachau concentration camp to see
the freezing experiments take
place. This time, I am returning to
see the high altitude experiments.
Dr. Sigmund Rascher has been conducting high altitude experiments
in hopes to find how to save german pilots forced to eject at high altitude. Just like last time they took
a prisoner from the camp to use as

a test subject. The man they chose

this time was not as healthy looking
as the first. He was very emaciated
and frail. They placed the week
man into a low pressure chamber
and strapped him on to a parachute
back pack to simulate a parachute
as shown in the image below. They
lower the pressure inside the chamber and as you can see from the images the man slowly becomes dizzy
and dies. The chamber simulated
68,000 t worth of pressure. They
measured the physical response as
the subject parishes. Dr. Rascher
discovered from these test that
when exposed to high altitudes tiny
air bubbles start to from in blood
vessels inside a certain part of the
brain. So far they have completed a
series of 60 test and they plan on
doing a full 200. Most of the test
subjects they have used in the experiments have died and the ones
that make it through the process
are executed due to brain damage
and being unable to work.
