Parent and Caregiver Participation


Homework club meeting once weekly for two
hours with snacks provided
Community locations (including library,
clubhouse, parks)
Technology business will donate mobile
technology including laptops, tablets, mobile
hotspots with internet access

PTA meetings will be held once a
month
Dinner will be provided via local
businesses
Childcare with homework help from
high school students will be provided
Raffles and giveaways (books)
donated by community partners
Surveys will be distributed to find out
family needs for parent PD-how to
help at home (ex: CCSS, math,
science, ELA, technology, social
studies, social skills, arts)

Parent and Caregiver Participation


Volunteering will be encouraged via Liberty
Bucks
For every hour volunteered, family members will
receive one Liberty Bucks
These bucks can be spent at the school store
Items in the school store will consist of hygiene
products, non-perishable goods, learning
materials (donated from community businesses
and fundraising)

Bus schedules will be sent with invitations to


school events
One FUN event (Fall Festival)
One academic focused event sponsored by the
local teacher store
Both events will be free to families
Donations will be solicited from local partners

Network of Community Advocates

Technology
o Provide technology such as laptops, tablets, or other media devices to
Homework Club
o Provide funding for activities surrounding the community out-reach program
Dinners, extra stipends, student materials
Business Buddies
o Local businesses and shops will provide information for career-readiness,
exposure to different jobs and community, applying connection between
school and community
Senior Mentors
o Members of the community will be invited to aid the school in volunteering
and mentoring students through differents programs and areas of need
within the school.
Adopt-A-Reader, In-Class student assistance, Writing for Readers
