Dear Sir or Madam:

I am a clinical instructor with a STEM concentration at the University of Akron. I have had the
pleasure of working with Ms. Kaylei Edwards during 2014-2015 school year in Akron Public
Schools. Ms. Edwards has spent the last year integrating herself into the school culture at East
CLC in Akron, Ohio. She is an integral part of Mr. Millers Statistics and Algebra classes. Ms.
Edwards has spent the entire school year in the classroom. She has had the opportunity to
assist Mr. Miller set up his classroom, greet the students on the first day, and work with them
throughout the school year.

Ms. Edwards works purposefully to engage her students in the content through discussion,
hands on activities and real world examples. She is very comfortable in the classroom and
willing to try new techniques. I have observed use real life situations with her statistics students
to bring the content to life. She has developed a consistent process of guided notes for the
students. Activities, such as I am, Who has or round robins, are incorporated regularly to
allow the students practice the content in an informal manner. To reinforce academic content
