To
Whom
It
May
Concern,
I
have
known
Kaylei
Edwards
for
about
a
year
and
a
half
now.
She
is
my
advisee
in
the
secondary
mathematics
education
program,
was
my
student
in
my
Spring,
2014,
math
methods
course,
and
is
my
student
teacher
during
her
student
teaching
experience
at
East
High
School.
While
in
my
math
methods
course,
Kaylei
was
very
responsible
and
diligent
in
her
work.
As
part
of
the
class,
one
of
the
assignments
was
to
complete
field
lessons
at
East
High
School
where
she
met
her
cooperating
teacher,
Mr.
Jeff
Miller.
While
in
Mr.
Millers
classroom,
Kaylei
co-taught
Algebra
I
lessons
that
were
creative
and
engaging.
I
recall
that
one
lesson
required
the
students
to
find
matching
cards
that
were
taped
around
the
room.
She
also
quickly
learned
how
to
use
the
Smartboard
and
create
good
presentation
materials
that
required
students
to
participate.
Now
at
East
for
the
year-long
internship,
Kaylei
has
taken
planning
and
instructional
leadership
of
the
two
senior
Statistics
sections
and
will
be
taking
leadership
of
the
Algebra
I
sections.
She
has
learned
and
developed
strategies
for
classroom
management
rooted
in
development
relationships
with
her
students.
Her
creativity
in
planning
continues
to
be
a
strength
of
hers,
demonstrated
in
her
lesson
plans.
Kaylei
may
be
a
student
teacher,
but
she
is
teaching
like
a
seasoned
professional
already.
She
has
poise
and
professionalism
in
dealing
with
her
students
and
other
colleagues.
I
highly
recommend
Kaylei
for
a
mathematics
teaching
position.
Sincerely,
Lynne
M.
Pachnowski,
Ph.D.
