Star of David- a six pointed star. It represents the shield of King David, which means
strength.
Kippah/Yarmulke- a skullcap; separates you from God.
Shofar- an Ram's horn used during Yom Kippur
Temple/Synagogue-place of worship for Jews.
The Torah- the Jewish holy book; first five books of the bible.

How did Judaism begin?
Judaism began 4000 years ago with the Hebrew's. Abraham is considered the father of Judaism
because he promoted that there was one God. Abraham's son Jacob had a son called Israel, so his
followers became the israelites.
What are some important points in the story (history) of Judaism?
Moses - False prince who sought reconciliation and freed Jewish people, led them to Ten
Commandments and the holy land.
Egyptians- Enslaved the Isrealites.
Mt. Sinai - Location of the creation of the Ten Commandments.
Canaan - Land where Judaism formed and developed. The holy land.

Cross: Jesus was hung when he died.
Bible: holy book.
Holy Communion: Communion, is when the priest in a church hands you bread and wine. The
bread represents the body of Christ and the wine represents the blood of Christ.
Church: Church is a place where most Christians go to pray to god.

Christmas:The celebration of Jesus birth
Lent: lent is the period of time leading up to Easter.
Easter is the celebration of Jesus's coming back to life.

Altar: The altar is a table in the Christian church where the communion sits.
Nave: the longitudinal area of the church. Where the people gather.
Pulpit: sacred place in a church where sermons are held.
Baptismal font: a baptismal font is like a bath where baptisms are held.

Islam is a monotheistic faith who only believes in one God (Allah). A lot of their history traced back to Abraham.
Abraham was the first profit in the religions of Jewdaisim, Chritianity, and Islam. The three are very related and
often are very similar in places, because they all came from the same profit.
Muhammad was born 570CE in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He received messages from God and began preaching to
others. His main messages was that there was no other God but Allah. Then people should lead their lives in a
way so they would please allah.He was like Jesus for the Islamic people. In fact, Islam is also very similar to
Christianity, more so than Jewdaisim.
