Area of chosen shapes

In this activity my group leo, zak and I found the formula of our chosen shapes
by tracing nets on a A3 piece of paper and calculating the surface area of each
shape. We calculated the area of the rectangular prism by finding the product of
the length and width of the rectangle and then once that was done we multiplied
that number by 4. To calculate the squares on either side we multiplied the
length and times it by 2. We added the area of the rectangles to the area of the
squares and found the total area of the rectangular prism. The total surface area
of the rectangular prism is 243.41
