QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering)
2 years post registration experience at a high level responsibility
in construction, building and infrastructural works
Candidates should also:
have good interpersonal skills,
lead and motivate the team of officers in the Department
be able to set priorities and achieve results within set objectives
Be fully conversant with office IT packages
DUTIES
Responsible to the Project Manager/Technical Manager or his delegated
representative
Assist in surveys and preparation of Master Plans for housing, civil engineering and
allied projects;
Preparation of designs of Housing Projects inclusive of amenities, infrastructure and
allied works and production of tender documents, including specifications and
working drawings;
Management of financial, material and human resources including plant and
equipment allotted to the Engineer and under his responsibility;
Project implementation, monitoring and evaluation of progress of works;
Assessment of progress of works for payment certification
Acting under specific delegated authorities when dealing with client and their
representative on matter relating to housing, infrastructure and allied works
undertaken by this Company and when representing the Company at meetings of sites
of work and elsewhere;

Generally responsible for the supervision and efficient execution of housing,

infrastructure amenities and allied projects, including on-site and off-site
infrastructural works with regards to the performance criteria of time, cost, quality
and safety;
Devising, instituting and enforcing such systems of checks and counter-checks as may
become necessary for the efficient discharge of his responsibilities, and also
complying with such regulations and procedures as are in force in the company;
Working outside normal working hours, and also on non-working days including
public holidays when the company contractual obligations so require or the Project
Manager so directs;
Oversee and monitor works of junior staff under his responsibility;
Perform such other cognate duties as may be assigned.
