Associationannouncedthattheawardwouldbe
reintroducedastheTedLindsayAwardtohonorHallof
FamerTedLindsayforhisskill,tenacity,leadership,and
roleinestablishingtheoriginalPlayers'Association.[1]
Thevotingforthetrophyisconductedattheendofthe
regularseasonbythemembersoftheNHLPlayers
