When VBB < V(BE on), transistor is in cut off.

So, IB = IC = 0. So VC = 5V
When VBB increases, IB increases, transistor
is in saturation. VC = VCE(sat)
In digital language, if input is low, output is
high and if input is high, output is low
(inverter)
