Introducing Myself.
In this class students will learn to introduce themselves.

Warm up
Nice to meet you in this section teachers will show the students a wordlist with images to
introduce people which will be used during the class as well. Besides that, teachers will give the
students some examples with these words. (See annex 1).
Presentation
In this section teachers will show the students a power point presentation where they will find
formal and informal greetings and farewells with the possible answers and how they can be used
depending on the situation. (See annex 2)
Having this clear, teachers will show this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQSObrt5t2k
(see annex 3) the idea is that they are able to recognize the different words and expressions that
the teachers have already explained before.
Finally we will show the students a dialogue with the topic of the class. (See annex 4)
Practice
Students are going to create in pairs a dialogue in their notebooks, using the greetings, farewells
and the words to introduce people. Then they will be in a Cocktail Party where students will
pretend that they are going to meet people in a cocktail party. Students are going to play
roles on meeting different people, introducing themselves, having a bit of chit-chat and
moving on to meet someone else, using the vocabulary of the class.

Production
In this section, teachers will show some exercises in a PPT; the idea first is that students have to
match the corresponding phrases to the responses. (See annex 5)

Evaluation
In this section the evaluation will be the activities did in class; How they performed using the
list of greeting and also how easy were the exercises for them.
