PROCEDURE

1. Students was helped by the lecturer incharge to connect the console pad to the OMRON
PLC Set (CPM1A, 2A, CQM).
2. Students have been taught the steps to adjust and control the console pad.
3. Students was told to clear the data that was inserted inside the console pad by the
previous users.
4. The steps to clear the data is clearly explained and shown to prevent any damage to tha
pad.Before,it is cleared,the lecturer instructs the students to turn the key in the console
pad to RUN mode.The steps to clear the previous data is shown the flow chart below.

5. Then, Ladder diagram is clearly briefed together with the Mnemonic coding. Students are
then, helped by the lecturer to identify and understand the operating principle and ways it
is typed in the console pad.
6. After that, the experiment is carried out, accordingly. The direction for the code input,
using the console pad, is supervised by the lecturer and the steps to input the required
code is shown in the flow diagram below and the picture below shows the display in the
console pad.

7. Students were told to clear the data and get ready for the next experiment.
8. Students were tasked by the lecturer-in-charge to proceed with the next Mnemonic code
experiment, by repeating the steps mentioned in step 1 to step 7.
9. Students were told to take a picture of the result for each of the conducted experiment and
produce a report regarding the experiments that has been carried out.
