ANNEXURE |! TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF PLANETARY BALL MILL SYSTEM General: Planetary Ball Mills (bench top model) with two grinding station and used for achieve the highest degree of fineness. Apart from the classical mixing and size reduction processes, the mills also meet all the technical requirements for colloidal grinding and have the energy input necessary for mechanical alloying processes. The extremely high centrifugal forces of the Planetary Ball Mills result in very high pulverization energy and therefore short grinding times. The planetary ball mill should have the following features: 4. Vendor should also submit details of their earlier ball milling machines to DRDO/PSU/Govt labs. os _ ANNEXURE IIL INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA (1) The ball milling system will be tested for milling for about 100 hours continuous running with a given program by intermediate stopping intervals to check the functionality of programming mode. (2) The stability of the driving motor and the rotation speed of the grinding station will be tested by running the ball milling machine for more than 100 hours. (3) The Bells and Jars will be checked by milling with standard powders such as Barium Titanate and ferrites for different durations by varying the number of balls depending on the powder feeded and timings. (4) Demonstration of final particle size reduction should be less than 1 wm.
