Stormy weather will prevail over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, and Calayan
Island today where storm signal No. 1 is up as typhoon Henry (international name: Matmo)
moves toward extreme Northern Luzon at a forecast speed of 20 kph.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration
(PAGASA) weather forecaster Jun Galang said the typhoon has maintained its northwest
movement and may make landfall over Taiwan before the end of the week.
But the outer circulation of Henry may bring moderate to heavy rains and gusty winds over
Cagayan Valley, particularly in Batanes today when the typhoon is at its closest approach to the
island province.
Aurora, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes will also
experience rains due to the typhoon.
Areas under signal no. 1 will experience winds of 45-60 kph within the next 36 hours and an
estimated moderate to heavy rainfall (7.5 to 15mm) within the 500 km diameter of the typhoon.
As of 11 a.m. Monday, Henry was 480 kilometers (km) east of Casiguran, Aurora, with
maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 160 kph.

ANALYTIC RUBRIC

The Word Exposed blog spot communication invited the grades 5-7 pupils to submit a digital
scrapbook of ACTSO form of prayers. Its goal is to help the youth to be familiar with the different forms
of prayer in the context of how to promote waste segregation and soon to develop the love for praying to
God constantly. The chosen output will be posted in its Gospel for kids edition. For the entry to be
chosen it must be creative, accurate and reflective so that it may lead the readers to reflect on the
importance of praying to God.
