What*if*during*the*Sunday*morning*service,*your*pastor*suddenly*made*a*confession*to*the*
congregation*you*were*sitting*with:*I*heard*that*there*was*a*city*that*they*called*the*Smut*
capitol*of*the*world,*a*city*filled*with*prostitution*and*sexual*acts*in*the*streets,*and*I*wanted*
to*see*it*for*myself.***

Most*of*the*congregation*would*be*abhorred.**There*would*be*women*gasping*from*the*pews*
as*they*covered*their*childrens*ears,*and*men*with*stern*eyebrows*as*they*listened*intently*to*
see*what*the*pastor*would*say*next.**Did*he*go*to*stand*on*a*corner*and*preach*the*Gospel?**
Did*he*rescue*some*lost*soul*from*a*life*of*sin?**Was*he*a*sinner*when*he*went,*and*found*
repentance?*

If*the*pastor*did*none*of*the*above,*and*decided*to*use*his*vacation*to*a*modernMday*Sodom*to*
illustrate*how*evil*the*world*has*become,*many*of*those*eyes*would*widen.**Some*would*never*
return.**FirstMtime*visitors*to*this*church*would*leave,*completely*shocked*and*wondering*what*
they*just*sat*through!*

Described*above*is*an*example*of*normal*Christian*people,*sitting*in*what*they*mistakenly*
thought*was*a*normal*sermon*by*a*pastor*they*elected*to*preach*the*Gospel*of*Jesus*Christ.**
Those*same*people*reading*will*find*this*article*to*be*comical,*even*somewhat*unbelievable.**
This*is*a*real*situation,*with*a*real*minister,*describing*a*real*event,*and*using*that*vacation*to*
the*Smut*Capitol*of*the*World*as*one*of*the*many*themes*throughout*his*sermons.**But*there*is*
one*difference.**From*a*cult*leader*to*a*heavily*programmed*cult*following,*their*reaction*was*
abnormal.**As*their*programmed*minds*listened*to*the*sermon,*their*programmed*response*
was*to*receive*this*into*their*minds*as*though*it*were*coming*from*Almighty*God*himself.**Such*
brainwashing*is*the*life*of*a*member*of*the*cult*of*William*Branham.*

Quartier*Pigalle*is*one*of*the*20*Arrondissements*(administrative*districts)*of*Paris,*France.**
Since*the*early*1900s,*it*has*been*known*worldMwide*as*a*tourist*district*containing*many*sex*
shops,*theatres*and*adult*shows*throughout*the*district.**During*the*second*World*War,*its*

1928,*AmericanMborn*actress*Josephine*Baker*(born*Freda*Josephine*McDonald*in*St.*Louis,*
Missouri)*established*a*nightclub*in*Pigalle.**There,*she*would*become*famous*for*her*erotic*
dancing,*almost*completely*nude.*

Early*in*his*ministry*when*William*Branham*mentions*his*time*in*Paris,*he*does*not*specifically*
mention*the*sex*district.**But*he*is*very*clear*that*he*is*referring*to*sin*of*Biblical*proportions:**
