Strategies for Paper One!

do the short answer questions first (make sure that you time it well)!

- halve the rest of your time and spend it on the two extended responses!
- if you are having trouble with one part move on to the next section and come back to it later!
- with the extended responses do the one that you feel most confident with first, that way you may
have more time to do the other part!

Short Answers!

make sure that you have an amount of quotes and techniques in your writing that is equivalent
to the amount of marks for the question!
- longer response for more important questions!
- read up on visual literacy as well as poetry techniques!
- be prepared for different text types!

Creative Writing!

have a creative prepared and incorporate the stimulus!

- try not to be obvious in the creative that you write!


- show a sense of belonging and alienation rather than saying it outright!
- give your teacher a practice creative before the exam in order to determine what they want!

Essay!

have quotes ready for different elements of the syllabus!

- look at past papers!


- have a structure in case the question is a general question!
