1. Why does Mr. Lockwood go to wuthering heights? What
kind of welcome does he receive?
Mr. Lockwood finds himself stuck in a snowstorm on his way home,
with no other choice but to stay at Wuthering Heights, as he would
perish overnight in the cold. Lockwood describes his welcome as
closed teeth all residents were neither welcoming nor warm
towards his arrival and insulted him with discriminatory comments
about where he is from. Mr. Lockwood becomes immediately
uncomfortable staying there, and prays for the storm to blow over
so he can continue his journey home.

occupants all are hostile and disinterested in who Mr. Lockwood is.
Immediately the impression is that Wuthering Heights is not a
enjoyable place the occupants seem stable but uncanny to the
outsiders eye (Lockwood).

Distrustful towards his siblings, sympathetic and compassionate
towards Catherine and his friendship and honest to Mr. Lockwood?
