Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from
completing this field experience? During the course of my degree work one of my coworkers has also been in the same program.
This teacher started a semester after me and often had the most difficulty with using technology tools. I often had to walk her
through basic troubleshooting procedures in order for her to complete assignments. These troubleshooting sessions took place in
school and on the phone. The phone conversations proved to be the most challenging because I had to verbally walk her through
instead of just sitting and clicking the mouse where appropriate. What I learned during these experiences was I knew a lot more
than I thought I could articulate via phone conversations and my teaching skills on technology tools was sufficient enough to teach
other teachers.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and
dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the
standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge,
skills, and dispositions.)
Knowledge In order to be an effective instructional coach/leader I will need to know how to fix basic software and hardware
issues that come up with technology tools. This experience taught me the skills needed to effectively communicate the process of
how to work through problems.

Skills - Through these experiences I demonstrated my ability to troubleshot basis software and hardware problems common in a
digital learning environment.
Dispositions The ability to troubleshot these basic problems has given me confidence to implement lesson in my class knowing I
can get pass any software or hardware issues that may occur.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your
school. How can the impact be assessed? This impacted faculty development and student learning. The work was done
specifically with faculty but her understanding will be passed on to students and the entire class will be able to move forward in
learning. The impact can be assessed through ease of technology use and completion of the assignment regardless of basic
troubles.

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from
completing this field experience? During my first presentation of a WebQuest I realized that my links were not working
correctly. This proved to be challenging because I had to manually input web addresses to the sites I wanted my students to visit.
At the end of the day I went to the site to try and figure out the problem and after about two hours finally realized that I had not
linked the buttons to the correct pages and some were not linked at all. Through this process I learned how to demonstrate the
correct procedure for my students so that they would not have the same difficulties.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and

Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from
completing this field experience?
While working on a nutrition lesson the site crashed. It was not the first time this happened so the next time we began our project
I made sure all students created a profile as to not lose their work and we saved often as a precaution. I began collecting
documents and alternative questions to refer to in case the crash happened again. Setting up an alternative assignment is what took
the most time. Student knew to go to the class website and work on the worksheets and activities posted there until they could
access the website again. The main issue was the schools infrastructure and the technology specialist informed me that the district
was aware and concerns were being addressed.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and
dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the

issues that come up with technology tools. This experience taught me the skills needed to effectively communicate the process of
how to work through problems
Skills To place the appropriate work request in and design relevant alternative assignments for students.
Dispositions - This impacted faculty development and student learning. The work was done specifically with faculty but her
understanding will be passed on to students and the entire class will be able to move forward in learning. The impact can be
