It's great when different people are

having different ideas, and it can all

come together as one. On Friday 31st July,
from 8pm midnight The Forum will host
it's first ARTIST'S GALLERY evening, as
well as launching THE MUSICIAN'S CLUB.

established acts play. Aware that money

may sometimes be tight for up and coming
bands, the free to join MUSICIAN'S CLUB
is a chance for people to make full use
of all the facilities and resources
available in the local musical community.

ARTIST'S GALLERY is the brainchild of

Alex Wallace, who already has experience
in organising events elsewhere. The first
evening features Jack Leon Mackey, Lee
Willz and Everything Fundamental, with
the aim to appeal to a young audience.
The first of many ARTIST'S GALLERY
evenings planned, they will not be
genre specific, and will vary, including
acoustic to party nights. The whole idea
is to offer networking opportunities for
local creatives, and has the backing of
clothing company WADSWORTH AND WELLS.

As a venture it will bring together and

support local, proactive artists and
creatives of all ages and experience. A
package of benefits, seminars, discounts
and free entry to events is currently
being put together to be released on
July 31st.The Forum is hoping that the
MUSICIAN'S CLUB will evolve from the
launch night, with ownership being taken
by the musicians, and The Forum would
like to hear from anyone who would like
to be involved in these early stages.

This evening will be free, with donations

on the door to charity RHYTHMIX, although
there will be an entry charge at future
events. As Alex says: Come down and enjoy
an evening of local and upcoming talent.
We want to bring all local musicians and
also the public together to show what
Tunbridge Wells and Kent really have to
offer.
What can The Forum offer musicians has
been a question mused upon for a while.
The venue is so much more than a place to
perform, it can be used for rehearsals,
and networking, and a chance to view

Come along and join MUSICIAN''S CLUB

whether you are looking for new band
members, a photographer, discount on new
guitar strings, cheap rehearsal space,
advice on your social media profile, or
just a chat, the MCC will be the place to
be in Tunbridge Wells.
I asked established singer and songwriter
JACK MACKEY what he thought both Artist's
Gallery and The Musician's Card will add
to the local Tunbridge Wells music scene
. I think it will bring a stronger more
connected music scene to our talented
town! he said, which is something we
can all hope for.
