Lesson Overview
The lesson focus is on what it is involved in a DMA process and how that process is
applied. The students will develop the DMA process in construction of their dream
bedroom.

Introduce design brief to students and clarify
any quires or questions that arise.

whiteboard to give a base line for students to
start from)
Students will complete activity sheet. Listing
of items, materials, objects to be made and
recycled items.

Students will draw / sketch top and side view of


how the room should look, with the items listed
Incorporated. Critiquing if items are of suitable
size and nature.
Once drawing is complete students will need to
choose shoebox for project and writ name on
underside

Have students share object, material and


design ideas. Write on the whiteboard for
further inspiration for others

Shoeboxes may be taken home to paint or


color in. (note discuss this with Janice, will
students remember to bring back?)
Link to next lesson. The building of bedroom
objects and fastening to inside of shoebox.
Finish off design phase if not completed and
collect pictures and decorate shoebox..

draw. However they will be encouraged to have a go
