Inkuiri Pengesahan Aim: To study the growth pattern of maize plant (Zea mays) Learning outcome: students are able to identify the sigmoid growth curve of maize plant (Zea mays). Growth in organism is the permanent & irreversible increase in body size, mass & number of cells. Material and apparatus: 50 maize grains of the same size and soil, oven, weighing scale and seedling tray. (A) Procedure: 1. Prepare 50 maize grains of the same size. 2. Prepare 1 seedling tray of the size 1.5 mx1.5 m. 3. Weigh 3 maize grains. 4. Dry the 3 maize. Weigh and record the dry mass. 5. Sow the remaining maize grains in the seedling tray. 6. Obtain 3 seedling at random every week. 7. Wash and wipe the seedling dry. Weigh the seedling. 8. Dry the seedling in the oven and record the dry mass. 9. Repeat steps 6 to 8 over 12 weeks. 10. Record the results obtained. 11. Plot a graph of the fresh mass and dry mass of maize seedlings against time. Time (weeks)

(B) based on the experiment that you have done write a report and plot a graph.
