Home mentoring, educational programs for families that
have elevated risk for child abuse
Reside in poor communities, Dallas and Collin County
Founded by more than 400 exchange club members
Helped over 41,000 children and parents

SCHOOL DISTRICT
Employees receive annual training on recognizing child abuse
Provide employees with proper assistance for reporting domestic violence
Educate students to recognize signs of abuse and to report to counselor.

Teachers and coaches will not only report the issue, but feel obligated to protect a
victim
Friends of victims will be educated and taught to speak up
Family members accustomed to domestic violence will no longer look the other way
