SKNTTA Summer Table Tennis Camp, 5-14 August 2015

The St. Kitts-Nevis Table Tennis Association (SKNTTA) cordially invite you to participate and/or sign-up
your child for in our Annual Summer Table Tennis Camp from Wednesday 5th August Friday 14th
August 2015 at the St Peters Community Centre, St Kitts and Nevis.
The Summer Table Tennis Camp,offers aspiring Junior players (age 7 to 15 years old) a chance to live, eat
and breathe table tennis for a week and a half, including 20 hours of tennis over 8 days, fun filled activities
and supervision by certified coaches.
The SKNTTA Summer Table Tennis Camp will be conducted at the St Peters Community Centre, St
Kitts and Nevis. Shuttle arrangements are in place for children commuting from Basseterre. Participants
will compete in our inaugural Under 15 Youth Challenge Tourney and eligible for selection to the SKNTTA
National Training Centre, under the Talent Identification Project.
The Shuttle to (and from) St Peters Community Centre will be provided from Warner Park, Victoria
Road. Vehicle departs at 8.45am from Warner Park and at 12.30pm from St Peters Community
Centre to Warner Park.
Cost: EC$50.00 per child. The fee includes certificate of attendance, participation in National Youth
Tourney, 20 hours of introductory table tennis coaching instructions under the guidance of an SKNTTA
Coaching Staff, ITTF Level 1 Certified.
Duration: 9.00am 12.30pm, Wednesday 5th August Friday 14th August 2015

Intro to TT; Grip; Stance; Forehand drive


Table tennis equipment; Backhand drive
Footwork; Beginning serves
Pushing; Advanced serves
FH loop vs. backspin; Blocking
BH attack (looping & hitting vs. backspin)
Smashing; Return of Serve
Participation in Youth Challenge Tournament, Friday 14th August 2015

The SKNTTA is driven by the mandate to become a vehicle for youth development through sports in the
Federation. As such, we accept the task to create roadmaps to steer the youth away from a life of crime,
violence and gangs thus enabling them to become well-rounded citizens.
