Reflection
Ifoundthisassignmentveryusefulbutalsoverychallenging.IhadaSMARTboardinbothofmy
classroomsduringplacementandthoughtIwasmakingverygooduseofthemeveryday.This
assignmenthoweveropenedmyeyestoavarietyofdifferenttools,designsandactivitiesthatIdidn't
knowtheSMARTboardcoulddoandIwasn'tapplyingthemduringmypracticum.SMARTtechnologyis
veryusefulandcanhelpincorporatedifferentaspectsofalessonandincludeavarietyoflearners
(auditory,visual,kinestheticandmotorskills).Themostchallengingaspectwasacquaintingyourselfwith
thetoolsandbecomingfamiliarwithwhattheycando.Inthefuture,shouldIdoasimilarassignment,I
thinkthebestwaytodoitwouldbetodecidewhatlearningstylesyou'dliketocatertopriortobeginning
theassignmentandcreateyouractivitiesbasedonthesegoals.Ifoundthesummarytoolveryusefulfor
keepingtabsonwhatyou'veusedsofarandwhatyouhaven't.Overall,Ienjoyedthelesson(learning
theintricaciesoftheSMARTboard)andfeelmuchmoreknowledgeableofit'scapabilitiesthanIdidafter
studentteaching.
