YOGA in the Mind

Gardener may water the plant daily but fruits grow only in the season. So have patience because everything is destined to happen by its own time.
Practicing Yoga is not just for fit and flexible people. It is about becoming fit and
flexible, not only in the body on the mat, but in your mind and in the living world.
Do we ever question why do we need oxygen? Oxygen is for body; yoga is for body,
mind and soul. When we begin to listen to our body, our body will begin to respond
with what it needs. Physical wellness can be the first step towards complete wellness
in mind, body and spirit.
Yoga is not a system of faith or worship, but it does foster a sense of connectedness
with something greater than oneself. In other words, yoga fosters spirituality in a way
that is compatible with many different religious beliefs. The practice of yoga enhances
your physical and mental well-being and can strengthen your relationship with the divine.
21st June was celebrated worldwide as International Yoga Day for good
healthy living. Ascertaining to the fact that Yoga is non-sectarian, promoting health and harmonious living for Body, Mind and Soul.

Science Week Celebration

A special Science assembly
was conducted on7th May
14, 2015 by the students of
class VII B. In order to celebrate science week students
also performed a skit on the
need of science. Students of
DPSG were informed about
various new facts about science through this assembly.
It was interesting to have
everything related to the
theme- science. Students
were given Science Olympiad medals and certificates.

Earth Day Celebration

April 22, 1970 was a red-letter day in
the world history as a momentous decision was taken to celebrate this day as
the Earth day every year to pay reverence to mother earth. DPSG celebrated Earth Week with enthusiasm
and fervour. A special assembly was
held .It commenced with a sombre
prayer to mother earth thanking her
for her bounties. An Inter House Skit
Competition was held to celebrate the
occasion. The skits highlighted how
mans nonchalant attitude towards
environment and natural resources has
proved disastrous for his own well
being. They also emphasized the need
to conserve nature. Various other activities such as slogan writing, poster
making and were conducted to commemorate the occasion.
This three-day long celebration saw its
culmination on 24th April, 2015. The
Chief Guest for the day was Brigadier
B.B.Chauhan, Group Commander,
NCC Group Head Quarters, Ghaziabad. Colonel Manish Sarkar, Commanding Officer of 13 U P Girls Battalion NCC was the Guest of Honour.
The event included a musical tribute to
Mother Earth followed by a short skit.
