Class participation and attendance policy:
Class participation is necessary for success in this class. All assignments must be completed
by the assigned due dates. Any assignment not submitted by the assigned due date will not
be accepted. Only a few circumstances will warrant late submission. Any late submission of
an assignment is at the discretion of the instructor.
Only 9 absences will be allowed for the entire semester. You will be required to take the final
exam which is cumulative for the entire semester under the following qualifications. You can
also be exempt under the following qualifications.
A= 4 absences

B= 3 absences

C= 2 absences

D= 1 absence

Attend class every day. Reading assignments are expected to take priority and be read when
assigned. If you come to class unprepared, you may find a pop quiz will be implemented.
Do not come to class tardy without a tardy slip. Tardy slips can be obtained from Ms. D. If
you are tardy for class, you will serve a working lunch on an assigned day. I should not have
to stop class to tell you to go get a late slip. Tardies add up to absences. Multiple tardies will
be sent to Mr. Kimmer.
Students are required to be respectful. Any student who is not will leave the classroom and
will not be a disruption.

In seeking truth you have to get both sides of the story.
