1. Actionable functions are used within Interface for Excel reports and input schedules to:
Drill to other reports or input schedules
Show the current view settings for dimensions
Link to Interface for the Web content and documents
Note the following when you use actionable functions:
Actionable functions cannot be embedded inside another formula
They can have only one other Ev function embedded within their parameters
They cannot be located in merged cells
2. Expansion Functions
Functions that allow dynamic expansion of dimensional data in reports and input schedules.
Features
When you use expansion functions in reports and input schedules, you can use the following
features:
You can dynamically expand dimensional data based on criteria defined in the expansion
formula
In the expansion formula, you can specify whether to expand the report by row, column, or
both; and on which member to base the expansion criteria.
NOTE
The expansion copies the first row if there is no column expansion; it copies the first column
if there no row expansion; and it copies the upper left cell of the data range if there is both
first row and column expansion.
When you choose a cell that contains an expansion formula, the system restructures the
report to include the new members, while maintaining its original design.
3. Linking Functions
You use the EvDNV and OsCLD functions with Excel's hyperlink function to return references
to books or documents on Interface for the Web
