Stewart Dulaney August 5, 2015 1. What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this General Education class? I learned that although I could hike up anything when I was a young thing. Now I cannot without a feeling a few aches and pains afterwards. Now my body requires the mastery of the more basic skills to condition it back to what it was in years past. 2. How would you apply this information to your life? Well Ive known about gradual get back into shape, exercise programs and I didnt recognize to what extent, I have fell out of shape. So I would like to continue on with a weekly hike with some hills. I hope that Rosie will get a weekly hiking club started soon so Ill have someone besides my dog to walk with. 3. What is your intention to continue to practice what you have learned in your life and why? I have bought a pass for Millcreek Canyon and have gone up there twice a week now. My sons likes to hike now and I like to go up when its on-leash dog days with my dog. I intend to not be afraid to hike in the woods. I know now to get to a lot of trails now in most of the canyons around here, so I think I will be back down the path of reliving a my childhood by going on more hikes. 4. General ideas for improving this course? I would like another trail similar to White Pine with a little more gradual uphill.
