Learner Analysis
The presenters are already well versed in their content area. They have a working
knowledge of basic presentation software such as PowerPoint. They know how to follow a link
to access online content.
Learning Context
The instruction will take place live in an online webinar environment (MegaMeeting).
This means that the presenters will have access to all of the software, tools and hardware that
would be required when they present their own workshop. They will need access to a webcam,
mic and, an internet connection. Because they will be learning in the very environment they will
later be teaching in, they will be able to practice with the software and tools hands-on during
instruction.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the tutorial session presenters should be able to:
Demonstrate how to turn their own camera and mic on and off
Toggle between monitor functions (i.e. Show My desktop, Camera, Video, etc.)
Incorporate presenter feedback by means of polls, surveys, and the chat window
Explain 3 best practices for presenting an online workshop

Evaluation
Formative Evaluation
1. One-to-one interview with potential participant. Will ask about clarity of the message, the impact
on their performance, any feedback.
2. Small Group trial. Since this tutorial will typically be given to groups of no more than 8
presenters, the first class will serve as the trial group.
Summative Evaluation
1. Performance Test - Participants will be asked to give a brief 3 minute presentation about
themselves using the functions learned during the tutorial.
2. Test - Questions will be focused on best practices.
3. Survey - Will be administered at the very end to assess attitudes about the tutorial as well as
feedback to be incorporated during the next session.
