SEVEN MIRACLES OF AUGUST

Max and Nina Tykhonovs church-planting ministry quick update

Dear supporters, prayer partners and just friends,
Thank you for your support of our ministry this summer. This summer, especially August,
came to be as usually a great hot time for our church-planting ministry in Kiev, Ukraine
as well as the time of some miracles for us. Please, let us tell you just a few facts on what
God has done and is doing in our ministry this summer.

Two miracles of the Big City Churchs English camp

The Big City Church English summer camp Xway-2015

Due to the absence of a short-term team form US, we thought, that we wont be able to
do any Evangelistic summer outreach for the Big City church. Which was pretty
frustrating, since the Big City, that helps to plant Liberty church, is itself in need of
support and refreshing. But God was good and He found us a team of 9 Americans from
various churches in Modesto, CA, who came to Poland to do the English student camp
there and who didnt have enough of audience and sent them to Kiev with the great
Oxford English program by the overnight bus. The team had a plan and some money to
cover the needs of the camp, the rest was provided to us for free (another miracle). The
camp was prepared within 2 weeks and we got the good crowd of people, some of which
immediately got to be present at BCC worship service.
Special thanks to Dean Johnson and the team for the camp facilitation, your long trip
from Poland and provided funds for that. Thank you!!!

Two miracles of the Liberty church-plant Summer Camp

Liberia 2015 summer camp participants and the team

This year we were hoping to get the short-term team from US of 8-10 people, but the last
moment we have got only 4. But we had English camps even with 2 Americans before. So,
we went forward glad we have such opportunity from our God. The team from the
Covenant OPC in Reading, PA came and we add one more missionary Brian Tusher who
came from the same church here earlier and we also add 14 people of our staff. We
havent given out a single flyer this year and we still got almost 30 students to the camp.

The second miracle happened with your help. This year we couldnt find a place for the
camp near Kiev and to go South to the sea-side was cheaper. But we didnt have extra $
to hire the bus and cover extra expenses. So we have spread the word among you and we
got even more within a week. By all our common effort, 30 students heard the Gospel, for
some of them its a second camp so we had 4 new believers among them and the worship
service after the camp was visited by 10 students. Thats a good start of the Evangelistic
year.
Special thanks to:
- Covenant OPC team from Reading, PA for coming and spending that crazy week
with us
- Missions Committee of Covenant OPC Reading, PA for providing the most funds for
the camp
- Chestnut Mountain Pres Church, Augusta, GA;
First Pres church Augusta, GA;
Cross Creek Pres Church, Birmingham, AL;
A Friend from Westminster Pres in Suffolk, VA;
Friends from Birmingham, AL
for praying and helping with that need.
All extra money we have raised went to the extra camp expenses and the left-overs will
go for the camps follow up, that starts in the end of September and lasts all year long.
Thank you!!!

Two miracles of the Big City Church Retreat

Pastor Jerry is speaking at the BCC retreat

Its been the first church retreat in many years. We needed that to strengthen the church,
that is committed to the helping with other church-plants in Kiev. Unfortunately, all the
local speakers couldnt make it and we were led to call an old friend of our church, expastor of the Cross Creek PCA in Austin, TX Jerry Rahm. There was almost no chance he
can make it, but we have got him here in two weeks after the call. Jerry knows a lot of
people in our church. He spoke on the major problems of the young church and trained
our ruling elder candidates, to whom I was already desperate to find a good coach. Its
been a blessed 4 days with the church outside the city and it was fully paid by the BCC
itself.

What is the 7th miracle?

The seventh miracle of August is the grace of our Lord, by which we were and are able to
do all above and many-many more small things, in spite of the many tragedies and grief
we had in our church and life this year. And this miracle is you, who keep our hands up by
your prayers! Thank you!!!

26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who
brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of
his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. 27 Why do
you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD; my
cause is disregarded by my God"? 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will
not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives
strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths
grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope
in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they
will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isa.40:26-31)
