Open House

East Goshen Elementary School

Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Welcome to East Goshen Elementary Schools Open
House. We are so excited to meet the kindergarteners! We
look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces and their
eagerness to learn.
This packet has been designed to give you an overview
of the curriculum for kindergarten. Please keep this
packet in a safe place to reference throughout the year.
You will receive communications via newsletters and
Ask Me About papers, including information about class
events and suggestions for home support. On Tuesdays
you will receive an efolder from the school. This is an
email that is sent home from the office containing a weekly
newsletter called the Rodney Rundown as well as other
documents.
Our goal is to provide a safe and positive environment
that promotes social, emotional, physical, and academic
growth this school year, while having fun! We are
committed to that goal each and every day.
If at any time you have a question or concern, please
call, email, or send a note with your child. We look forward
to a fun and exciting year!
Sincerely,
The Kindergarten Team

The First Day

I gave you a little wink and smile
as you entered my room today.
For I know how hard it is to leave
and know your child must stay.
Youve been with him for five years now
And have been a loving guide,
But now, alas, the time has come
to leave him at my side.
Just know that as you drive away
and tears down your cheeks may flow
Ill love him as I would my own
and help him learn and grow.
So please put your mind at ease
and cry those tears no more
For I will love him and take him in
when you leave him at my door.
