Situation: Student A needs a new employee and has gone to an employment
agency. Student B works in the agency and will tell A about possible
people.
Procedures: (1) Put students into pairs.
(2) Give student B a list of clients and Student A a list of possible
jobs.
(3) Student A decides what position he/she needs to fill and tells
Student B: "I need a ____ ____."
(4) Student B checks the list and suggests a person.
(5) Student A needs to find more out about the person: Is he/she a
Adj. Noun?
(6) If Student A doesn't like the person, he/she asks for another
possibility, etc.
(7) When Student A decides on someone, he/she asks for address and
telephone number and writes information down.
(8) If there is time, change roles.
