ASSIGNMENT
Please complete the following problems on notebook
paper and turn it in to me at the end of class.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1-1

SOLUTIONS

Planes have two dimensions. Lines, line segments,

and rays have one dimension.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1-1

SOLUTIONS

Three legs of the chair will meet on the floor to define a

plane, but the point at the bottom of the fourth leg
may not be in the same plane. When the chair tips so
that this leg is on the floor, the plane defined by this
leg and the two legs closest to it now lies in the plane
of the floor.
No Three points define a plane, so the legs of the
three-legged chair will always meet in the flat plane of
the floor.

south on Cherry Court; OR east
on Apple Avenue, west on Apple

b. Opposite rays could not have
been formed because both
friends were not traveling along
the same line (road).
