A Day at the Beach

I dug my feet under the warm, coarse-grained sand and swiveled my toes around it as I
sat peacefully near the ocean water. It was a warm, summer afternoon when I
vacationed with my friends at the sensational Pismo beach. The sun smiled at me as I
sat on the moderate, warm sand alongside my friends and looked out at the
translucent, sea-green ocean. The dazzling sun sparkled over the water like tiny
crystals as the monstrous waves peaked and crashed into one another with loud,
swishing sounds. The foams and bubbles from the rumbling waves covered the shore
while bits of seaweed and algae were disposed out of its freezing body. Sometimes it
even reached out and viciously washed away sand castles that children built playfully
along the shoreline. Around the glamorous beach, people of all ages set themselves out
for an incredible afternoon, as they ran around in their swimsuits, danced to fast-beat
music, and sunbathed peacefully on the tan-colored sand. Although the water seemed a
bit too chilly to swim, my friends and I decided to give it a try. We were hesitant at first,
but soon adapted to the coldness and continued our fun, splashing the marine water
onto our numbing bodies. We carried on the delightful afternoon playing with Frisbees,
and unending games of volleyball. When the day was slipping away, we decided to
settle down for a view of the spectacular sunset. We sat down beside each other and
gazed heavily towards the breath-taking scene. Mixtures of pinks, oranges and purples
shaded together and reflected over the glistering water as the bright massive star hid
under the fluffy cotton-like clouds, slowly disappearing from the face of the earth. I
closed my eyes gently while the cool breeze of the summer twilight tingled against my
sticky skin and as the night drew closer, I filled my lungs with the salty, rejuvenating
air of the ocean's atmosphere in order to preserve this wondrous, soothing day and plac
