Scene 1

Mariah is a widow. She is nasi seller in Molo, Kelantan. Mariah allways had on short kebaya
which accentuated her well proportioned curves. That was a reoson that made most village
men went to eat her nasi.
Mariah ( Priya) :

Nasi kerabu... Nasi belauk.... Nasi dagang....

Scene 2
On a particular morning a Tok Imam who was the guardian of modesty in the village was with
Cik Gu Leh falling on Mariahs nasi belauk with much relish. He followed his friend, Cik Gu
Leh to Mariahs stall foethe first time.
Cik Gu Leh ( Prasana ) :

Come on, lets have breakfast at Mariahs stall.

Scene 3
The presenceof Tok Imam to Mariahs stall became rumour which later reached his wife Cik
Yam .
Cik Gu Nab Asvene : Cik Yam*2
Began Cik Gu Nab trying to put the matter across as delicately as possible
CIk Yam :

Yes, Cik Gu Nab whatss the matter?

Cik Gu Nab Asvene :

We assue you as our own sister. In fact, we feel very bad about

having to come to you. We dont like to back bite our own sister. We come here to tell
you that on of our sisters is meddling with other peoples
Cik Yam :

Who do you mean, Cik Gu Nab?

Cuk Gu Nab : Who else Cik Yam, of course we mean Mariah the Nasi seller.
Cik Yam Prasana :

((SHOCK))

Cik Yam continued to tell the rumour about Tok Imam about having breakfast at Mariahs
stall.
Scene 4
The Imam came home 12.30 to have his lunch. Cik Yam was there to greet him. She took off
his kufiah and Cik Yam gave him a clean sarung.

Tok Imam Asvene :

Yam, is lunch ready?

Cik Yam Prasana :

Yes abang, under the tudung saji.

(Tok Imam remove tudung saji)


Cik Yam Prasana :

I think you would still like to finish my nasi belauk after your meal at

Mariahs. I still havr to proof that my Nasi Belauk, is still edible compared to Mariahs.
And abang, I had to learn of it through someone else.
Cik Yam threw the tudung saji on the floor, and ran sobbing to their bedroom.
Scene 5
Tok Imam Asvene :

What the hell is going on? Oh... women! They are so impossible ;they

just go around and make life difficult for men! It makes me so angry !! Argh!!
Tok Imam mutterd to himself. As he only went there because he was insisted by CIK Gu Leh.
A sudden smile appeared on Tok Imams face. He was not surprised with the nasi belauk he
had, but he was surprised with Mariah herself.
Tok Imam Asvene :

Oh God! What a woman she is?

Tok Imam was transporte d to his youth timw when Imam was a young man of fifteen, he
was sent to Southern Thailand to learn under tutelage of well known Sheikh.
Scene 6
Prasana During his days in Southern Thailand, Tok Imam felt in love with Sheikhs
daughter who looked like Mariah. He saw her for the first time, when she was drawing
water from the well. He was mesmerised by her beauty.
Tok Imam Asvene:

Oh, I love her. I want no one else. I shall make her mine.

The Imam kept the secret to himself.. He didnt tell anyone. As days passed, Tok Imam was
conducting kulliyahs performing prayers and sometimes even paying courtesy calls on teh
Sheikhs behalf. He thought, that one day Sheikh will make him as his son-in-law.

Scene 8
One day, sheikh came to invite Tok Imam for his daughters wedding with a cousin. He was
shattered. He packed his things to leave that place.
Sheikh: Imam dont leave. I thought you can look after the mosque for me.
Tok Imam: Im sorry. I have to go.
Scene 9
The, he, married with Che Yam. Tok Imam was not thought of Sheikhs daughter for a long
time, until that morning.
Tok Imam: oh god. Why do you have to look exactly like her? Its a test, by god!!!!
Tok Imam started to go to Mariahs stall, every day, inspite of himself.
Tok Imam: forgive me oh god! For men are weak.
(while eating nasi belauk and watching Mariah at Mariahs stall)
Scene 10
One day, Tok Imam chose the occasion well. it was Thursday night, the eve of Friday.
Che yam: tell me what grieves you, my husband. I will try to solve it.
Tok Imam: Che Yam, let me tell you something.
Tok Imam explained about his past love to his wife. He, then told about Mariah who looked
alike the Sheikhs daughter.
Tok Imam: Che Yam, I wish to make Mariah, as my second wife.
Che Yam: Why me? Oh god. Why such thing happens to me?
Tok Imam tried to hold Che Yam, but che yam pushed him away.
Tok Imam: I will always love you, yam. I am always yours. I will always care for
u.
The night passed after Tok Imam said his wish to Che yam. The next morning, Che Yam said
ye to Tok Imam.
Che yam: Yes. You may marry marry her, on condition of equality.

Scene 11
Cik gu le, as the Imams emissary, went to Mariah house asking for her hand.
(sound of knocking door).
Cik gu le: Mariah. Hai Mariah hoe are u doing? I came here to tell you
something. Tok Imam wish to marry you. What do you say?
Mariah; marry mee???
Mariah just dithered for one day, then said yes.
Scene 12
Finally, Mariah and Tok Imam married and lived happily ever.
