Discussion of the proposed redistribution of indirect funds from external

grant awards as indicated in spreadsheets provided by Hetzel.

Recommended: 85% centralized; 5% College; 5% Dept; 5% PI.

Discussion of MVAC and health center research/contracts as unique

situations.

Discussion of the need to develop policy as guidelines for the use of indirect
funds – especially the percentage going to PIs.

Morgan left at 3:00.

The Budget Review Committee supports the recommended Indirect Cost Policy as
described in the documents distributed by Bob Hetzel on 1-27-10 (M/S/P
unanimously).
